I’ve seen somewhere that the buyout only applies if he goes to another school, not the NFL. I don’t have any way to verify this. I’m genuinely asking, do you know the terms of that buyout?
I’m pretty sure this is correct. And it also has a clause of no buyout for a head coach position. The increased buyout is only in effect until April 1.

Waterboy was a documentary.

This is going to be a pretty big “oof” moment for a few LSU posters on this board if that happens.

Kiffin must think the possibility of his leaving is pretty real because he apparently already has a potential replacement lined up.

Aren’t the Giants notoriously cheap?
Saquon Barkley comes to mind, recently

I assume doing double duty has been taxing for him, while juggling the NIL and recruiting as well. Removing that will be good for work life balance. But it won’t be $2.5 mil (and with NY taxes and cost of living, it DEFINITELY won’t feel like it).

They’re in Jersey.

Ah shite, forgot about that. But it’s still more expensive to live in than BR.

Yall really aren’t beating the “care more about Ole Miss losing than State winning” allegations. I’ve never seen anything like it.

NFL is a lot easier these days. I'd probably make the jump if it made enough sense, especially as a young guy.

Yes but the bright side is you don’t have to live in BR.

I’ve been to Jersey many times. There is very little to envy up there.

Interestingly, his Wikipedia page shows him to be the QB coach for the Giants.

We need to have every Ole Miss user on tRant’s Wiki edit history

Pretty sure that’s only for another school for the same position. Even if true the giants would have absolutely zero issue paying that bill if he’s their guy.

Calm down the NFL can wait until after April and so can any interested college team
