His team full of bowl game opt outs and HCs decision to have like 3 practices with essentially a new roster before a NY6 bowl game killed his draft stock.

Yet, you only made it more confusing
No one cares if a 3rd/4th string freshman QB gets a DUI/DWI.
Since he came on after Tua's injury, all have been for him. Some thought there'd be a B Young QB competition, but I never saw a "head on plate" scenario

Lol, obviously, that ONE good college season Burrow (an also legit QB) had wasn't because of a good play caller or ELITE WR talent
Not to mention Smith, Waddle (didn't play whole season), Metchie were 4 stars and Bolden was a 3 star.

One went 15 and the other went number 1 overall and the first quarterback taken not the fifth. They are not close.
