the reality is, the defense tightened up and learned to anticipate Georgias runs

Not on the 1st touchdown when Fields was running the read option.2 defenders showed him after both handoffs
and we ran the ball rather easily.

Our best back had 7 carries. When you take our top 2 RBs, they had 19 carries for 128 yards. We committed to run the ball on two drives in the entire game, 11 of those rushes came on those 2 drives. The result? 1 TD and 1 drive that should have been 3 points. That means that Holyfield and Swift had 8 carries between them on 8 other drives (not including the last drive before halftime and the last drive before the end of the game). Every drive that we failed to score on (save the fake punt drive) had 1 thing in common: Holyfield/Swift had 0-1 carries. We’re built to be a power team that delivers body blows and wears a team out in the 2nd half. We simply got away from who we are and all of that is on the coaching staff. They tried to turn a game manager into game changer. He just changed the game for the worse.

Ok, so you’re saying that Georgia really won that game and that they didn’t receive an arse whooping?

Go back and read the exchange you illerate frickass. UGA lost the game because O outcoached Kirby badly. Our coaches gave up on running the ball and apparently wanted to let Fromm showcase his lack of skill and decision making against an extremely good defensive backfield. Nowhere did I say UGA should have won the game, simply that we abandoned our strength and the aspect of the games which our offense is built to excel. But, by all means, keep being a fricking retard.

LSU and Georgia have similar fanbases.

If you are 56 then you got to watch UGA win a natty in the prime of your life.

Which means you are full of shite.

I love the UGA egocentrism. As if Chaney went away from the run just because. Newslfash: LSU made an adjustment on Defense after your 2nd possession.

The 0 Tech NT-the player our scheme lines up head up over your Center-was shaded to one side playing one gap technique on those two opening possessions. You averaged 5+ yards a carry in them.

We shifted the shade, pressed the Mike into the opposite A gap and changed the math after that. For the rest of the 1st half, you finished with 1.5 YPC.

Your OC made the right call because LSU made your QB win with our scheme on D. We decided to stop the run and did it with scheme. You dumbasses clowning Chaney for going away from the run just prove to folks you don’t know football.

There is an argument for personnel at QB to be made but that’s a Head Coach issue as he makes those kinds of calls, and Fields shuffled in only for plays at a time.

Yeah, Chaney put it on Fromms back and he couldn't deliver against your talented secondary.

Down 10 in the early fourth Fromm takes the worst sack I have ever seen to knock us out of FG range. That one play right there in crunch time told me all I need to know about where GA will be with Fromm at QB.

Down hill?

I foresee our young but talented D seasoning up a bit, our injuries healing, and Justin Holyfields leading us to the promised land....

NEXT YEAR.

We are 70% underclassmen this year.

Not sure that’s totally accurate. He had to. LSU was moving the football and scoring points. When you average 1.5 YPC as the lead begins to widen to 13 and then 16-0, any OC is going to have to start trying to challenge vertically. It’s not that Chaney “put,” it on Fromm’s back. He had to. The run wasn’t working.

The issue for UGA is the playbook-at least the one your Head Coach signs off on-is based on the run being imposed regardless of opponent with the pass game getting off on PA looks off the run.

When the run doesn’t work, the pass game has to out athlete opponents to win. Fromm had some shots. Just like Burrow. He didn’t connect. He’s not a guy at this point in his career who can put a team on his back.

We knew it. We had the horses to exploit it. Asswhipping was the result.

Yeah, I just can’t understand the mentality of predicting the worst and then bragging about it when things don’t go your way. This is particularly true when things are good—like it is with LSU and UGa right now.

Sometimes you just get your arse kicked. Learn from it and adjust in the future.

Call me illiterate if it makes you feel better. The entirety of your post was all about the small domination Georgia had on one drive and how that could have been recreated the whole game. Which is pure stupidity. You think they didn’t try to recreate that drive? Aranda brought in a extra safety. I mean did you pay attention at all?
