Ok your best win was a 4th and 17 miracle to beat a bowl ineligible Florida (5-7)

Just because KSU, UK, and UTi have votes does not mean they got enough to place them in the top 25.

They were ranked when the games were played. Are you people new to college sports?

No

Are you?

That is always the worst argument on a message board.

Congrats for being that guy.

Apparently because the poll that matters is at the end of the season.

Technically he's correct since they were ranked when played. The loss of those teams to Mizzou helped kick them out of top 25.

It's semantics.

Still a loss. There’s no such thing as a “good looking loss”. It’s a made up metric used by message board dumbasses.

I would say the real idiots are the ones trying to act like a 9 point loss and a 35 point loss are the same thing. Especially when the 35 point loss could have been much worse. It's only one data point, but same with LSU for both teams. Neither one is the end all be all, you have to look at both.

To be clear, I support the OM & MU over PSU argument. I just don't support OM over MU. Neither do the coaches, media, or playoff committee. RPI favors Missouri, SP+ favors Missouri, and FPI is a tie.

There's not much support out there for Ole Miss being the better team.

So did other losses

No.
It's bad data.

He can claim it is correct.
But every week, there is a better data point.

Choosing bad data over good data willfully shows serious mendacity.
It is sad.

I agree 100%

I absolutely think Missouri is the better team.

But a lot of the Missouri arguments are desperate and poor.

The record books are on my side. This season goes down as Missouri having more wins against Top 25 opponents than Ole Miss has. This is indisputable no matter how much anyone tries to spin it.

Probably because it's been so long since they did something (pretty insecure). 2015 screwed them up.

Florida - definitely hard to play there but they are very down. It took a miracle for you to win.

Tennessee - probably your best win imo

Arkansas - KJ went down on what? Drive 2 on a somewhat dirty tackle. Missouris defense still played well throughout the game.

Kansas state - not a very good team, took a 61 yard kick to win.

Kentucky - decent win, down in the fourth but leveraged turnovers to win. Always hard to win on the road.

Ole Miss can complain all they want....but there is a reason why Mizzou is ranked over Ole Miss, Mizzou is the better team. SEC play proves it.

Mizzou had 1 win in SEC play that was close.....our let down game vs Florida after playing Georgia/UT. Mizzou was playing without both starting LBs in that game as well.

Mizzou won by 17 at Vandy and Kentucky. 22 over South Carolina (which could have been worse if we didn't let off the gas), 29 over UT and 34 at Arkansas.

Mizzou could have won both of the games they lost against 2 really good teams. LSU has the best offense maybe in the country and probably the best offensive player in the country. Mizzou made the poor decision to not run the ball late in the game on 2nd and 1.....ended up fumbling and then threw a forced pick 6 with barely any clock left. Mizzou should have won that game. 4th Qtr game at Georgia on National TV.

That is the other issue for Ole Miss. Mizzou looked great on National TV vs Georgia.....then the next week on National TV again just destroyed Tennessee......beats Florida on National TV and then destroys Arkansas on National TV. Ole Miss got destroyed on National TV at Georgia and then won an ugly game vs Miss St after beating a weak non con team the game in between Ga/Miss St games

OK there, Sparky.

It's funny how the final AP poll eradicates 90% of the fans who think like you (and there are never many of them)

I agree to disagree.
They were ranked when the games were played any data point after that have too many variables to compare the two periods in time...such as injuries to players and who they play in succession.

Mendacity (that's a new one for me). Thanks

Not really (unless you have a better QB that you have been hiding).

But it was a good game.

I won't argue there.
Mizzou is a tough team to beat. Especially when they don't beat themselves.
