Sad if true. I hope he can fall back on his degree.

He could fall back on his memories of beating Michigan in the Orange Bowl.
Unlike CJ Stroud, who, against Michigan has:

He'll be on the Johnny Feetball rehab program soon.

If true he fricking blew it. Back up QB in the nfl is like the best job in the world I'd ride that wave as long as possible.

Is it reported? I don’t doubt this, provide a link please. I don’t doubt this. Alcohol is a hell of a drug. They are probably sending to rehab. Hope he can make it through.

That's really sad. Hope he gets help and can return to his career.

He’s technically off the roster while suspended for non-football reasons, but I would think he is still under contract. They don’t have to pay him for games he misses.

Never lost against Auburn! But that can be said for a lot of UGA QBs

It's well known he was using at UGA. Kirby just covered it up.

I thought he was having a hip replacement.

If it was covered up, how would it be well known?

Good news, Georgia fans! In about 10 years you may be able to own Stetson Bennet's national championship rings. He'll need to sell them to afford his addictions.

I don't doubt the alcohol part of it, that's more common than people know. His situation in Dallas before the combine. Widespread issues in the football world see Sumlin, Sark, Bear, just off the top of my head.
The drug part is more confusing. The NFL drug tests more strictly than ncaa, and if he'd failed a drug test it would be a league suspension, not a team suspension. At least that's how it has been explained to me.
I hope it all works out for him.

It's funny/notfunny you say this. A certain (former) Bama coach with a shoebox full of rings is currently in daily AA meetings with my BIL and still hasn't sold them, because he went to rehab, got better, and is fighting the fight daily but still employed and making a shitload of money and getting more rings for his shoebox.

It's a midlife crisis. Happens to the best of us.
