I hope the gators win just to show fsu isn't national championship material... Yea they've been raw this year but how glorious would it be if a terribly down sec team took it away from them!!!! Go gators

The 1997 game is not even close to depicting a possible upset Saturday. I will remind you younger Gators that back in the 1980s we faced the girls school when they were 5-0 and we were 0-5...honest to goodness and we beat the snot out of them and went on to win bowl game...we used to play the Florida State College for Women back then during mid season or even early in the season.
I will be up theer Saturday and proud to be a Gator no matter what. Now cue up the Jim Carrey "1 in a million" piece from Dumb and Dumber

The truth is that the Missisippi schools have always done well against us and both schools have upset us. I think the major factor is the mental viewpoint of Ole Miss and Miss State being the poor kids and here they have chance to knock off the rich kids from Florida.
Spurrier suffered stinging defeat to Moo State in 1992 & 2000....so it is not from lack of good coaching. They wanted it more than we did...ditto the Univ of New Jawsey @ Coral Gables aka SCUM.

You come off plenty classy, hoss. Rivalries are an in house way to talk shite and have a good time at each other's expense, but I only have so much hate in my heart for any of my southern brothers at the end of the day, Ole Miss included. I may hate you SOBs when it comes to our family feuds down here, but y'all are all still my people. I travel enough to know I do a helluvalot better with Georgia than New York.
ETA: I actually think a home and home again would be at the very least quite interesting and probably a real kick in the arse every decade or so.

The passion in the SEC is not matched by anyone else...go to California and try to find out anything regarding college football in the local fishwraps...or go to NYC and same thing...they don't have clue about southern football.
