Or Auburn or (to a lesser extent) Arky.

don't sell yourselves so short just yet. I could see Joker and your new qb giving opposing teams fits this year. I expect yall to have an upset or two which come out of nowhere. Wouldn't be surprised at all if yall beat tenn and/or uf this year....this would be the year to do it. I'm just glad Lyons and Cobb are no longer in Lexington.

your new qb
He started about 7 games in 2009 FWIW and did really well. He also started the Bowl game last year and played like shite. But yea we're always good for at least one upset and to lose at least one game we shouldn't.

Was it Woodson (sp?) that was your QB that was so good in 2007?
If so, is he in the NFL now, or what?

Andre Woodson. He played for the Giants and Redskins, but now he is a GA at UK and is finishing his degree.

knew he had some pt under his belt, didn't know he started that many games. good for AW for going back and finishing his degree. you think he has a future in coaching? maybe he ends up breaking the UF streak one day as HC 20+ years down the road
I kid, I kid

was it morgan newton who commanded the troops the night joe cox shaved points?

Yea, we were on my fraternity formal on HHI in 2009 and were watching the South Carolina game in a bar when Hartline tore his ACL and all the USCe fans were like "yall are fricked now". Newton was much better than Hartline at the time.
Apparently Woodson is pretty much the mentor of the QB's, especially the younger ones. I bet he'll end up coaching in a few years.

But you're not comparing apples to apples. You're comparing west teams that have played a handful of times against UF to teams they play every year. The comparison that I said, that actually makes sense, is the big boys in the west getting to play the perennially bad mississippi schools every year since 1992.
LSU: 11-8 against Ole Miss since 1992, 7-3 since 2001
Alabama: 12-7 against Mississippi State since 1992
Auburn: 13-6 against Mississippi State since 1992
And let's see their records against Kentucky and Vandy
Alabama vs. Kentucky: 35-2-1 all-time record against Kentucky, 7-1 since 1988
Alabama vs. Vandy: 12-1 against Vandy since 1992
LSU vs. Kentucky: 7-6 against Kentucky since 1992, however LSU is 4-1 against Kentucky since 2000 when they finally started to play at a level that they are at right now
LSU vs. Vandy: 6-0 against Vandy since 1992, 9-1 in their last ten meetings against Vandy since 1984
Auburn vs. Kentucky: 5-1 against Kentucky since 1992, 9-1 against Kentucky in their last ten meetings
Auburn vs. Vandy: 7-1 against Vandy since 1992, 13-1 against Vandy since 1978
The big boys in the West have had a lot more trouble playing against the Mississippi schools than the cellar-dwellers in the SEC East.

if you consider the inability to run a simple toss sweep not once but twice in the 11th game of the year in which you have started 11 games as well as the inability to differentiate between the white and blue of UK and the red and black of Georgia then yes, Joe Cox was awful.
may that spineless, weasel ginger frick never forget the misery he brought on this university for the rest of his days. i have never seen a player on one football team so hated by his school's students. frick joe cox was one of the most overused phrases by students and alum alike in 2009. frick. that. man.

I don't think it's a reach to say that the Mississippi schools have been significantly more competitive than Kentucky, Vanderbilt and South Carolina since 1992.
While since 1992 may be true, I'd say in the last 5 years that isn't the case for South Carolina. We've been a lot more competitive.

I probably shouldn't lump South Carolina in that group but they were a bottom-dweller for most of the '90s and always lost to the Tennessee and Florida until Spurrier got there.

I think you should worry less about Kentucky breaking their losing streak and more about breaking yours.
24 in a row vs UK
6 in a row vs UT

Yeah, why even mention other teams on a message board if your team isn't going to run the table?

That was 2008, the BCS Champ year. We beat UK and SC both so bad that year - to RUTS that bad you had to have some big special teams plays b/c there's not enough time in the game to do it just on offense & defense. That 2008 team was a machine during that stretch of the season.
