The Cocks obviously have a good team, but Lattimore is probably headed to the NFL after this year and yall are gonna lose some guys from defense, too. Do you USCe fans think he'll be around another couple of years or will this be his last real shot at winning a SEC at South Carolina?

As long as GA continues to gift points he'll stick around.

Is CSS all the sudden going to forget how to recruit and coach?

No. But he is getting older. I just wanted to see how long Cock fans think he'll stick around if they don't win the SEC this year.

That's what I wonder, when does he just get board and want to play golf?

UGA seems to play they're shittiest game of the season EVERY year against these clowns. Hopefully, that will change this year. Go Dawgs!

He could have advanced Alzheimers and out coach Mark Richt.

I don't know that it is his last shot, but I don't see him ever having a better shot. He will always be a good coach, recruiter, etc., but this team is damn good and I don't think he will be around long enough to have another opportunity like this.

Way to bring nothing to the thread. He's a better coach than Richt. Gotcha.

This is not his last shot.

When his contract is up, he may call it quits but I doubt it.

Not if you are a UGA fan. I thought it was pretty witty...

I'm guessing SOS will be at Carolina for 2-3 more years. The pantry is far from bare even though we will lose some good players after this season. I actually expect Lattimore to play his senior season. We have great depth at RB and the DL. Very good freshmen that are getting some playing time now at several positions. SOS seems to enjoy this team and is happy to be here. He's said many times that as long as his health is good and he's having fun, he'll stick around. When he does decide to hang it up, the quality of the team should entice a very good coach to take his place.

Yeah, I agree. I think he's teams will continue to be competitive after this year, but this team has a real shot to make a run. I doubt he'll have another chance like this one. I wonder if he's thinking the same thing?

I understand that. Spurrier has done a great job turning USCe into a competitive team year in and year out, but I don't know if they're to the point where they could make multiple runs at a SEC title in the span of 2-3 years. Not yet at least.

I agree with just about everything you said, but Latti isn't gonna risk another injury and would be dumb not to take his 1st round draft grade and run. For the record I expect Jarvis Jones to do the same. It just wouldn't make sense not to go.

I'm sure he know the team can make a run, I doubt he's worrying about "if this is his last/best shot". He strikes me as a man who gives nary a frick about that kind of thinking, just wants to win the next one and to have a quarterback that makes zero mistakes.

I agree with most of what you said, i think he will be there a little longer than that though. maybe 4-5 years. Im not sure if this would be his LAST shot at the title, but it certainly is his best thus far.

Based on what? This will be the third year in a row that they make a run, first time in history. Why will it change? As long as Spurrier is there, they are a threat.

'10, in SEC Title game.
'11, best team in East, screwed by schedule.
'12, currently making a run.

Losing Latt is no big deal. He's averages under five yds a carry for his career and it has gone down since his injury. Also doubt he projects as a first round RB at the end of this year.
