This. i am in the same boat. I used to spend most of my time on the rivalries board, and still will lurk/read over there. Still pretty entertaining though. Though it seems that it is even more dedicated to mocking our former conference mates then it was before. The realignment following was hilarious during that time.
The "resource/information reservoir" for Ags and anyone with similar interests cannot be exclaimed enough though. That place is FULL of connections/business opportunities/information about state,people, univeristy, ect/anything you can think of. Just need to know exactly where to look for certain types of people.

The Old Rivalries board is the methadone clinic of TexAgs. It gives a core group of posters the fix they need, but its day is coming. For now, all there is on it is bumped threads from old conference foes about our impending failure in the SEC or recruiting battles that we are winning. The farther away we get from the move, the less there will be to post about.

Very true. Back in the day is when i frequented that board. Quite a bit of attrition and a few losses of some hilarious posters since i went to lurking status over there.

I like Texags, but only the premium board. Honestly, I go there for information mainly, but discussion sometimes can be trying.
SECr is definitely one of the most entertaining boards, but there is not a lot of discussion here either.
I like the functionality of this board. Its amazing to me how many boards are still so archaic. Even at Texags, you still have to type out the code for quotes and images.

The actual discussion here is pretty bad, but really no worse than the big boards for most other schools.
The premium boards on TexAgs do a good job of weeding out the trash. It's the difference between going to an amusement park on a regular day or a free day.

MO Headfi.com is a great forum for audiophile equipment, accessories, and everything audio/music related. IMO it's a better msg board because the posters there give so much comparison info as well as links for great buys, etc.....

Not really, once you get to know who the trolls are and get past the inside jokes this website is the best for breaking news and just general discussion. If you want a more serious focused discussion use your team board.

I think the problem comes down to too many LSU/Bama posters on the board. If you look at other schools, they all have their idiots, but LSU and Alabama have too many to keep track of.

Tidefans is slightly better. They encourage an open dialogue from fans of all teams. And their posters are usually knowledgeable about all kinds of things, not just football.
