I thought Chris Del Conte said they were looking to replace the turf in DKR with grass. It may coincide with the new athletic practice facility they're building. I didn't think it had anything to do with SEC requirements.

It's been said on this forum at least 100x. We're getting a new practice facility by 2025, so practice will be held in the stadium during construction, the grass would be a mess with all of that abuse. DKR will have grass after that

40 years ago Texas’ baseball stadium was the gold standard.
Today it has fallen woefully behind.
I would hope that will change in the next few years…
