I doubt it. He's making $6 mil a year and will get a nice buyout if he gets canned. On top of that he looks and sounds very spent in his pressers.

I posted b4 the season the situation at Ark reminded me
of Coach Os last 2 years at LSU.He lost his 2 coordinators
and didn`t replace them with like kind.Pitt boss isn`t a
good enough a head coach to overcome bad hires unlike the
Kirbys and Sabans of the world.
But Drinkwitz must've got very lucky to get the right OC and DC. The first hiring of the DC went bad then the second time went a lot better than expected. The OC was another good get. That is why you need a HC that have connections and someone you can count on to get the job done.

They probably looked at what happened against the gators, bama, LSU and then moo state.... then sacrificed the OC
Not just yet anyway.

And a favorable schedule helps too.

Year 1 (2020 - Covid) 3-7
2021 (9-4, 4-4) Outback Bowl Champions (Great year with someone else's recruits)
2022 (7-6) Liberty Bowl Champions
2023 (2-6) too early to fire him now. Remaining schedule @Florida, Auburn and Mizzou at Home, plus FIU. They have been competitive in all of their losses, 3 to LSU, 7 to BYU, 12 to TAMU, 3 to Bama, 7 to Ole Miss and lost 7-3 to MSU.
He needs more time. He is 10-21 in Conference, but the coach before was worse.

Doing better than Chad Morris isn't much of a litmus test and we're trending in the wrong direction in year #4. Besides, recruiting at Arkansas with a coach on the hot seat is next to impossible.

True... so hold that info and drop in the aggie game.

they could potentially win all 4 remaining games.

He won't be given another year if he goes 0-8 in the SEC.
Odom was a terrible DC last year and the defense was one of the worst in the nation.
Sam hired Travis Williams and the defense is stout.
Enos was successful and a failure at other places.
Sam shouldn't have hired him in that he ran a different offense in which he doesn't have the players he needs.
He fired him because the pressure that he got from the fans but his termination doesn't solve a very poor OL and a QB that is limited.
Enos runs an old school pro style offense with less focus on RPO.
Briles ran a version of the veer that was heavy on RPO.
Changing offenses in his fourth year is stupid and he should have done better research in hiring an OC that ran a similar offense.

They will not win another game.
Defense will keep them in games but that atrocious offense will keep giving them an L.

Any decent coach could have easily have done what Sam did.
He just didn't lose the players like Chad did on day one.
But Arkansas showed some quit in the State game.

Sam has now lost nine games by seven points or less.
These last two years Sam has been underwhelming with good talent that had a chance to make some noise in the West.

I think his contract says his buyout is not set and the more losses that he has then the less money he will get.
Posted on 10/23/23 at 7:30 pm to SouthernInsanity
Very likely Sam will be fired as soon as the Missouri game is over.

He is in his 60s. He didn't have much left in the tank when he took the job.
He was already headed for retirement.
The best thing he can do is after the season is over, talk with the AD, negotiate his buyout money and make an announcement that he will retire.
If he doesn't then it will be ugly next year.

Or it could be the Nutt curse for the way a fraction of the fanbase tried to destroy his life to run him off. The football gods gave them a taste of what they wanted, then gave them what they deserve and we all get to suffer for it.

Dude, rather than rambling in several posts... just say it all in one. This isn't twitter and you aren't forced to use only very little sentences.
Damn!
