no it doesn't, not against the teams you have won against.

You haven't been following A&M football very long.

We never destroy the teams we should, at least not on a consistent basis.

So that tells me, at the very least, we don't play down to our competition and we're consistent. That obviously begs the question: "consistently what?"

I don't think you've seen anything this year that could lead you to believe we're any worse than an okay team.

Again, the team has a ceiling of 8-4. IMO, we're closer to that than 6-6. At least I haven't seen anything to make me think otherwise. We won't face a better passing team than Arky this year (so I'm not fretting over getting shredded by Tyler Wilson).

We could win every game outside of LSU and Bama and you're just gunna sit there and talk about how bad ole miss is, how shitty cusa la tech is, how auburn blows this year, etc..

I agree we have done nothing but beat teams we are supposed to beat but like someone said earlier, considering the circumstance (new coach, systems, fresh qb) and how we're playing right now, we are all pretty excited on our future outlook.

but have had an easy schedule. Auburn would be 3-1 or 4-0 with that schedule. Let's wait until they beat a quality team.

this....

we will see if Auburn can get it together now. I believe it will be Auburn finishing 4th in the SEC W, with A&M possibly 5th just because of arkansas and ole miss.

Nothing impressive in their record yet, but I do think their QB is a legit talent.

Who knows...we're just happy to win and that our Freshman QB broke the All-time SEC total yardage/game record in his 2nd SEC game.

Me thinks LSU fan is trying to deflect the REAL question from week 5.

Is LSU that good?

you have played both conference games at home. Wait until you go on the road. You aren't beating LSU/Bama and very likely not winning AT Auburn and Mississippi St. You already have 1 loss. You have beaten absolutely no one. Like I said, IMO, you need to beat both Ole Miss and La Tech to have a shot at beating Missouri to become bowl eligible.

That's fair, but there is a lot more to the story.

First off, Ole Miss and La Tech both have no capacity to play defense and lack speed on defense which is exactly why A&M won the last 3 games by an average of 50 points. A&M's D is also at least good and getting better, they have only given up 47 points in 3 games.

Second, A&M is benefiting from the SEC West having a big drop from Bama and even LSU looking far more vincible than last year. The third best team right now is State but State certainly can't out talent A&M. Arkie is horrible. Ole Miss is better than last year but still very bad. Auburn is still somewhat dangerous but is in Year 2 of the "Was it all just a fluke with Cam?"

Third, lots of people just looked at A&M's 2nd half meltdowns last year and 7-6 record in the "Shitty Big 12" and figured they would struggle making the step up. What they forget is A&M fired their coach for doing so and that they had double digit leads in 12 of 13 games and were favored. The talent was there, the coaching was not.

Fourth, no one knew what was going to happen with Manziel and Sumlin. Most folks just rated Manziel as the 13th or 14th best QB in the SEC coming in to the year because he was unknown. This was especially true because he replaced a Top 10 NFL Draft pick. Now you may or may not buy into the "JFF hype" but no sane person would say Manziel isn't at least a very good QB.

Finally, no one expected A&M's D to play this well. The DL that was supposed to be a big weakness has turned into a strength. The rest of the D is playing hard and spirited and keeping folks out of the end zone.

How good are they? We will find out if they can roll through the next 2 games and then play LSU. If they are 5-1 and riding high no telling what can happen. If suddenly Manziel comes out looking like a human instead of a superhero the next 2 weeks though they fall back in the "hope for 7 wins" category. With 5 road games in 6 weeks and the home date against LSU they are about to be tested in a BIG way.

I get the first two, but why the second two?

What have you seen from them and us that leads you to believe losses are "very likely"?

that you are bragging about offensive records in beating arkansas says it all about you. How did them records go when you played a decent team?

LSU is not that good yet, but still favored by double digits over a&m ON THE ROAD.

Actually LSU has a win over a current top 25 team. A&M?

I think Texas A&M is middle of the pack in the SEC West, which is better than I thought they'd be this season (Arkansas and Auburn are worse than I thought they'd be). Arkansas is just that bad.

1a. LSU
b. Alabama (by the slimmest of margins)
3. Miss State
4. Texas A&M
5. Auburn
6. Ole Miss
7. Arkansas

This can't be overstated enough.

A&M should have been 11-1 last season -- no question. A reasonably disciplined team doesn't squander 5 double digit second half leads (two of which were late in the 4th).

If you had a preconceived notion that A&M's roster was devoid of talent, you were grossly mistaken.

because you will be on the road, and because Vegas has you currently as greater than touchdown underdogs. To me, that means "very likely".

good god. It is going to be a long season for you. You already did it again this year against Florida with the new coaching staff. It wasn't possible to lose the other 3 games.

We heard this crap two years ago, when LSU went to Texas and destroyed you, after you were coming off a 6 game winning streak....lol.....ok

Why are you so emphatic about this subject?

There are shitty defenses every year. Yet only one player has ever thrown for 450 and ran for 100 in a single game (and no, he didn't play the entirety of it).

Why not just take the approach "we'll see. I don't know what to think"? You've seen nothing from this squad that could have you reasonably arguing they're less than a pretty decent team. That may change in the coming weeks. But as it stands, you have nothing to be so down on us with.

Maybe they are, maybe they aren't, but they are ranked right now, and you aren't, and they did beat a top 10 team, and their only loss was to LSU....so...they are more deserving of a ranking than you are.

Dear God. Set aside your vendetta against A&M and look at the facts.

That's not hyperbole. Seriously, just look at the 2011 season.

You're contradicting yourself here.

A&M was favored in all but one game last year. But the proposition that we should have won each of those games is laughable according to you.

You do understand lines are set to elicit bets. They're just trying to get regular folks -- guys like you and me -- to act on our ignorance.
