Yes. Texas A&M takes revenge for the gumps stealing the Bear and Stallings and beats Bama by 40 in Bryant-Denny.

Saban was the reason we lost to Auburn two years ago.

Oh, another incredible rebuttal. The point you are trying to make is extremely flawed, and very cynical/speculative. Im sorry that you cant handle that we are calling you out. And its not like you arent known for making stupid, unpopular posts just to pointlessly go against the grain. Thats you, we all know it. Deal with it.

He lost both the Utah and AU on purpose, setting up off-season motivation for Nat'l title runs. Effective both time.

I just don't understand why it's a problem. Sounds like the team showed up didn't give a shite and weren't working hard. How should a coach act towards that? "Yea the team attended today. I wish that you gents and the team would take WKU more seriously. I really think they might give us trouble if we aren't careful and wouldn't that just be down right embarrassing."

So you are saying the point of my post is invalid? You could rebut my post instead of making a pointless post.
He considered the possibility that his coaching methods might have been a contributing factor in the teams' ability to repeat. Obviously it's speculative, but not crazy to consider. Morale is a tricky thing, and Saban's attitude and coaching method may not always have a positive affect.

The reason we lost to Auburn was not nearly as much Saban as it was us just becoming extra-ordinarily unlucky all of a sudden.

A fumble, by a guy that rarely fumbles, bounced 15 yards down a sideline in a straight line and never went out of bounds resulting in a touch back.

Trent, a guy who RARELY drops a pass out of the backfield, got hit in the numbers and somehow dropped a pass that would have at least gotten a first and goal and more than likely a touchdown.

Mark Barron's pec injury picked the worst possible moment to rear its ugly head causing him to miss an easy interception and instead allow a long TD down the sideline.

Please tell me how on earth Saban had a damn thing to do with ANY of those 3 plays, ANY of which would have made the difference in the game?

He went to his get a lead and then be conservative as frick to run out the clock method. That works 97% of the time. It didn't work against Auburn and we lost. Stop making excuses for lord Saban.

Just keep telling yourself that your coach does not have a long history of sitting on leads and allow opponents to climb back.

It's Saban's M.O. Instead of beating down an opponent, he gets a lead and then becomes conservative which in essence allows an occasional team or two to get back into the game.

He has little to no basis to make that argument though. Maybe if there was some proof that our 2010 team lost 3 games because of Saban's coaching methods, instead of the obvious reasons of inexpeience in or secondary, injuries, and an underperforming Oline. And keep in mind that this thread was started because Monticello thought that it was wrong that Saban pointed out that our players had a bad practice.

2 of those plays were scoring plays had the really unlucky shite I just mentioned not happened. How is that sitting on a lead.

One play Ingram was racing down a sideline towards the endzone. That play was a TD if not for the fumble so it was obviously the correct play call, the AU player was unfortunately able to punch the ball out and then got lucky as frick as it rolled as far as it did without going out of bounds.

The pass to Trent would have more than likely scored but would have certainly gotten a first down if nothing else, therefore it was obviously the correct play call as well and was in no way sitting on a lead.

Yeah, I normally agree with most of what Bryant posts but that was just crazy. Had 2 of the plays went the way Saban intended for them to go, that was 2 td's. Not exactly what I call sitting on a lead.
