Saban is the G.O.A.T.!!! Dabo is a good coach but the ACC is just atrocious and is more of a BB league than a football league.

I say NO.

The “best” doesn’t lose Nattys by 30 points.

Nuff said.

Bear Bryant lost a natty to '71 Nebraska by 32 points in the '72 Orange Bowl. I guess that means he can't be the best either.

Clemson has had the easiest path to a Natty the last 6 years, they play no one in the regular season.

Florida State should be putting up more of a fight, and the winner of the other division should be tough. No one except Clemson has been consistently pulling their weight.

You could say the same about Oklahoma. Maybe one other Big 12 team is doing alright on any given year, and they've made it to the playoffs four times, and have only made a game of it once. Their weak schedule really shows when they hit the other playoff teams.

But they're both gauntlets compared to the Pac 12. They're so bad, they can't even get one team to separate itself from the pack. It's just clown fiesta in that conference.

Considering Bama was trying to take 3rd stringers because of injuries and asking them to cover future first and second rd draft picks I’m really shocked that game was that close. Not to mention Tua was hurt in that game also. That year was probably Saban’s best year as a head coach in his Career. The past 4 or 5 years Bama had really struggled with injuries but that team in particular had no business in a title game but somehow Saban pulled it off. By far his best head coaching job.

It’s Bear Bryant. I see drugs are plentiful in Baton Rouge.

Coach Meyer and Coach Carroll could not,

Meyer has won everywhere he's coached over a period of 20 years. He took Bowling Green from a 2-9 record to a 8-3, 9-3 record in his two season there. He then took a middling Utah program to an undefeated season in his second year after a 10-2 season his first. He then went to a down Florida program and won 2 national titles there. Then he went to Ohio State and never won fewer than 11 games, winning one national title, and making the CFPs 3 times.

Pete Carroll has won a Super Bowl, played in another, and has 8 playoff appearances in 11 seasons since his dynasty at USC.

These are some awful examples of coaches not changing with the times.

what Dabo has done at "little ol' Clemson" as he likes to say, is more impressive...

Every Clemson coach with ties to Bama have won a MNC at Clemson. It doesn't seem difficult for those coaches with Bama ties.

I'm an Auburn fan, and even I have to admit he is the GOAT. Maybe you are a little young, but you should look back at the state of Bama's program when he took over. They were about as low as they have ever been--lost five in a row to Auburn, and run through four coaches (yes bammers, I include Price!) and every SEC team was finding ways to beat them. Saban comes in, has one mediocre season while he cleans house, and then proceeds to establish the most impressive and sustained dynasty in college football history. Yeah, I'll give credit where credit is due there. You should too. I'm ready for him to retire and spend his golden years on the lake and in the announcer's booth.

Now with his reputation? Probably.

Before his Alabama tenure? No

When he won at LSU only one coach had done it in 1958. 45 years before. So...

false

According to LSU, there was only one claimed title prior to Saban - 1958.
