Is Patrick Peterson the SEC's most overrated player?

This is a serious question, because LSU fans are starting to become as fanatical as Tebow's admirers. I don't think anyone questions Peterson's talent, but this is the same kid that got humiliated in several games last year, yet LSU fans act like Peterson is Champ Bailey's equally-talented clone.
I know he is a great defensive back, and may very well be the best one in the league - but does anyone else think LSU fans are going overboard with their praise?

So far i would have to agree with you. But the guy is full of potential if he can stop blowing coverages.

No. He was only a sophmore last year. People hardly threw the ball to his side.

Every DB gets beat once in awhile.
He was a true sophomore last season.
He was better at that age than Champ Bailey was.

no. he's the best DB in the conference and the best player on LSU's team.

I think he has become overrated on this board, as he has turned into some kind of legend. He's still very good though but as of yet he's just one of a handful of really good corners out there.

1 play. Plus, we don't know the coverage called. Maybe Peterson didn't have deep 3rd coverage. That could have been Brandon Taylor's responsibility.
