Presumably like many of you I’ve been watching various takes on the match up. This group on YouTube had a pretty nice one. It’s lengthy but informative. Hopefully you guys enjoy ????

What impacted his Heisman chances more than anything is the fact that he isn't Heisman worthy....and THAT is why he isn't in the running. He is an experienced college QB...that carries weight, but the truth is that if he were good enough to go pro, he would have went last year. There is a reason why BH is grading out higher than him in terms of future draft status.
Bruh he was graded as a second round draft pick last year. And winning a heisman has no correlation to whether u will be a great nfl player.
Prescott is a great player.
re: Trey Quinn should get more targets this year, too good to not be used

Smh the naysayers of Quinn are basically saying that a high school two-sport athlete that broke Dorial Beckham-Green's record for career receiving yards won't see the field because of how stacked we are at receiver. Go back and watch some games from last season folks- Quinn was lined up ready to make some plays. POOR QB hurt his performance as well as the other WRs.
And I won't say that he's perfect- he could have stepped it up in the Bama game. But he will see the field this year.

He will get some time IMO. Even if Collins and Mills stay ( which I REALLY hope happens, he will get snaps.
RR has to go tho. #problemchild

My problem with Jennings is that he stares down his primary receiver and looks for Dural only when it's a passing situation. He doesn't like to sit in the pocket and make the appropriate reads with his receivers. He did barely enough to win. And it's frustrating because he has the weapons around him to make great plays. I still have faith that he will get better. But it better happen soon because there is a very talented QB right behind him. My advice: get some chemistry going with those WRs

Collins played very well. I'm happy to see that he stepped up and make some good plays.

I wish they would use these next two games to open things up and experiment, but they will use as vanilla an offense as possible per the usual in mismatches:
I disagree. the main issue with last night was the failure to execute. they will have to open up the playbook and experiment in order to get the most out of Jennings and the rest of the offense. it's just a matter of execution.

TE's did not play well
aside from Desean's dropped pass and Dickson being covered VERY well, how else did they not play well. Elaborate please.
Quinn will be awesome in the slot man. I'm more confident about the WR play for this year.

re: Anthony Jennings is/will be legit

He moved the pocket and he resets very well. Nice +
keep in mind that we are running a different offensive scheme this year. Failure to execute was the problem. Jennings will be fine once he settles down.

I withdraw my statement. MSU will a tough game, but we will win it.

ESPN I agree with this.

I actually agree with Palmer for once. MSU is going to be a team to watch out for. What's going to kill us (IMO) is that we will be relying heavily on the ground game.

Jennings ain't mad. He's determined. He's hungry. The kid is out for blood on that playing field and wants the starting job. Make no mistake that he is working his arse off to get where he needs to be. Harris may be getting all the love an attention from one showing in a glorified scrimmage but Anthony has been grinding for a year and a half now and deserves some spotlight, he has the heart of a lion.
Agreed. I still like think that Jennings will get it. I feel as though everyone wants Harris to take the spot, but let him wait. The worst that could happen is that he gets some valuable lessons.

If anybody jumps out as the third receiver it's Magee. Magee I severely underrated

Well he should. Look how much use the jags are getting out of Blackmon.
I don't think Mett is having the drug problem that Blackmon has.

Wilder
Harris does seem to have the better footwork. Rettig hopefully will get his shot. He (Rettig) just didn't seem comfortable in those drills. Give all of these guys time. Scrambling and arm strength are paramount, but I want the QB that is chosen to be the best game manager.
I do look forward to seeing if we do run a spread formation. I feel like the receivers will be playing by committee, which I'm content with. I feel that the talent is there.
