Auburn has won national championships, Mizzou won a co-conference back before man walked on the moon

This

Folks keep saying the landscape has completely changed, meanwhile the final 4 last year was Notre Dame, Ohio State, Penn State, and Texas.

There have always been mid tier teams in the rankings, heck 10 years the CFP top ten on 11/3 included Baylor, Michigan State, TCU. Memphis was #13.

Auburn and Mizzou have almost identical conference records since Mizzou joined the conference in 2012.

They have the same number of sec championship game appearances too. Auburn would be the inferior program since Mizzou joined if not for a hot 4th quarter in 2013

This is bullshite. Record vs AP Top 25 opponents since Mizzou entered the SEC:

.224- Auburn (15-52)
.174- Missouri (8-38)

Despite Auburn suffering the worst era of football our program has endured in nearly 100 years, we’ve still performed better against stronger competition…. Having almost double the number of ranked wins.

Perhaps most striking is the fact that Auburn has played 67 ranked opponents since 2012 compared to Missouri’s 46. If you don’t think having an extra 21 games played against tougher competition affects the overall record, you’re crazy.

Top 25 Opponents played 2012-2025:

71- Alabama
69- Georgia
67- Auburn
62- Florida
61- South Carolina
60- LSU
58- Tennessee
58- Arkansas
57- Miss State
55- Ole Miss
55- Texas A&M
53- Kentucky
49- Vanderbilt
46- Missouri

Missouri’s record is 100% a mirage… aided by playing in the easy SEC East, and then gifted the conference’s softest schedule possible these two most recent seasons.

Once we go to a more balanced rotation next season, Mizzou will be exposed which is probably why Drink is lobbying to get out while his record looks better. He knows.

The state of Missouri has the 5th or 6th largest GDP in the SEC. Auburn and Oklahoma are nowhere near on that list.

It’s getting to the point where we’re better in both sports. Auburn really struggled with their creampuff opponent last night
