Hate is probably too strong a word, he hasnt done anything so awful as to deserve hate IMO. He's just an incredibly annoying player who thinks he's a lot better than he really is. He's not out doing the kind of stuff off the court that earns players the "hate" status in my book, though.
He is gonna get his arse whipped someday when he pisses off the wrong person, though. He needs to slow his roll.
