Well that isn't true at all - currently or historically

Florida has been the best athletics program top to bottom in the league every season for almost 2 decades

SlumberGorge!

I read somewhere (:eyebrowgif:) that you can grant access to the A1abana board!

I am looking to have some serious discussion with the A1abana faithful! Mind letting me in?

TIA!!

While clearly conference king of football, I would say Florida has better claim to overall best athletics in the conference
LSU is making serious progress though

Alabama has a .599 win% against LSU all time in basketball.

Alabama has a .665 win% against LSU all time in baseball.

Alabama has a .630 win% against LSU all time in football.

Try again in about 50 years.

If there was ever proof that head-to-head winning % doesn't mean shite, this is it.

There isn't a fan in the SEC that would choose Alabama's baseball pedigree over LSU's.

So LSU underachieves on the scoreboard is what you're saying?

Btw, I find this conversation funny considering LSU fans get 1 win in 8 years for football and suddenly think they are the best ever.

Yes the 6 national titles is "underachieving" on the scoreboard.

You seem to grasp it.

The best overall sports school in the SEC is Florida. LSU is having a great year but overall from top to bottom it's UF. Been that way for 20 years.

Thanks for making the arguments against LSU.

National championships is an argument against which athletic program is the flagship of the conference?

I don't think you understand what's being discussed here.

Let me check the topic again.

You're posting winning percentages in head to head matchups.

You clearly don't have a clue, but carry on anyway. No one really cares if you want to look like a dumb arse.

That was in response to someone calling Alabama a 1 trick pony.

...thread is about LSU, not Ole Miss. We're sh*t and we know it. Hope that changes; but at the moment we suck. But, the thread is about LSU...and my point remains (about LSU or anyone for that matter). Beat BAMA consistently and you can claim the flagship title...

Currently, and in recent history, Alabama is a one trick pony in the major sports.

When is the last time Alabama won the SEC in baseball or basketball?

Alabama is football, golf and softball.

You do realize the discussion isn't about just football, correct?

...I'm fair on these boards. I can take your sh*t and give it too. It's all cool. I fully give credit to LSU's re-emergence as an SEC power. It helps the whole conference. Bama is the football king and the national footprint of the conference. Without that school, we'd be average at best. Nothing thrills me more to beat the Bammers. But, I don't want to BE them. I'm an Ole Miss guy (win or lose [a lot]). LSU needs to recognize its own identity and embrace it. It's a cool school with a lot to offer. Just be yourself, even if it's being a f*cking as*shole SOB...just be you and I'll be me.

The LSU athletic program as a whole is one of the best in the nation. Athletics in the entire state of Mississippi are mediocre and loser programs.

I don’t think I’ve ever wanted anything in life as badly as LSU fans want to be Alabama. It’s flattering, in a sad kind of way.

Honestly it's strange as hell to see them coming out of the woodwork by the masses with these attention seeking posts non-stop. It reflects poorly on LSU's accomplishments to want to be Alabama so badly.
