"Enough about me, let's talk about you. What do you think of me?" - Every LSU fan since 2000 (when they were finally started being consistently relevant)

quote:More likely LSU fans will be claiming they were young on offense after Auburn runs them over and they can't keep up. LSU won that day but no one in the nation, minus LSU fans and Auburn haters, thought LSU would have even came close by the end of the year. One was beating Bama while one was getting all they could handle from Arkansas.
Gus's second attempt at LSU will be like Manziel's second round with the tigers.

More like rolling up yards and points but sure try to beat around the bush there slick. Y'all don't have y'all's super star WR, RB stable, or Mett coming back. Y'all got a new offense. Like I said prepare. Also, you frick face DS...get in on the ban bet you pussy!

So I guess A&M has never been relevant

OK then, here is what many LSU fans see happening this year.
On the defense, there aren't two better CBs in the nation and if Jalen Mills' issues don't keep him off of the field then the Tiger's secondary will not be scored on by any pass happy teams very easily at all.
The problem is well known on the Chief's squad... we've lost our two most impressive DTs on a DL that didn't get much pressure all year and allowed rushers to run up the middle more than any LSU D that I can remember.
Some of the issues against tghe rush could have been strengthened by better MLB play but the starting Mike Backer is the most experienced and sets up the front seven flawlessly and consistently which kept him on the field last year. DJ got blocked out too often and missed tackles or got drug too often. There are a few much more talented LBs under him but they were all fresh and soph's. If DJ can'ty improve then the defense will absolutely need to have someone else at the Mike Backer spot to back up a DL with inexperience in the two deep DT rotation.
This doesn't mean that LSU will have a weak DL though. The Tiger DE's are manimals and they will come into their own immediately this year. ALso, the Will and Sam Backers should be top caliber SEC level guys so you can see why we Tiger fans are sticking to our guns and saying that LSU's defense will be more like what we have come to expect.
The offense will be the big unknown once again this year mainly because of Coach ameron. I will say this plainly so that nobody can doubt how LSU fans feel here. Coach Cameron could very well be the best OC in the conference. He has the chops and his first offense was light years ahead of those before his arrival. His practices are on a different level from what the players were used to with an extremely high tempo that helps the squad to get things together quickly between plays.
One of the biggest differences between last year's offense and those before it was that Mett and his two receivers worked together all summer and it showed. As long as this has carried on this summer I see no reason why we won't see good production from the passing game even though the QB is new and two of the best three receivers are true freshmen.
I won't even bother talking up Fournette simnply because one RB has never carried too much of the load at LSU. Les has played four different RBs per game more often than not and they return two awesome backs. Now most LSU fans will point out thatwe have done decently well without a passing offense but I am not one of them. I hated it when we couldn't pass the ball and it was qan all world defense that won games for us then. Thankfully though, I have a lot of faith in Coach Cameron and after this year you will all see why.
So bookmark this if you want because the Tigers won't lose more than two games this year and they could very well win them all. Wiscy won't beat us just because. In fact, the only thing that stands out to me when looking at our schedule is that we have to play Ole Miss again without having had and bye weeks. This is why the Rebs beat us last year and LSU's schedulers need to see that.
As for beating Bama, they will obviously be talented but any team with Lane Kiffen simply doesn't have my respect. At least before Nick hired him I respected Bama... now, not so much.
Well, there's my rant. Sure, LSU could implode after losing record numbers of players to the NFL drafts over the last few years but I doubt it because this LSU staff develops players like none other period. It's proven and we don't need to win every recruiting championship over the last 5 yrs to do it. Now that the weak spots on the staff have been fortified with home run hires, I see no reason why LSU won't get the respect back that they've lost over the last few years. It all starts this season and we LSU fans feel damned good about it.

LSU...top 15 all time program 1900-2000. Texas A&M....not even top 25 all time program 1900-2000.

Who GAF? All these talk shite about pre 2000, and it's 2014.

For real, I was 12 in '99. People need to get with the times.

I have no idea what I was doing in 1999. I was 11. Since I've been old enough to really follow CFB, LSU has been a top football team.
The 90s sucked, my dad remembers, but he barely remembers. Because it's been a long fricking time.

im not sure if these aubies are still delusional from the beatdown in tiger stadium or just plain dumb. that game was over quicker than it started. its pretty pathetic pulling the " well if we played like that the 2nd half ...." they got beat plain and simple.
And saying how we lost key starters so its a 7 win season now..
auburn lost Mason and he backpacked that whole fricking team. With LF comin in and some veteran rbs im not to worried at all.
Give me lsu over auburn any day

Lsu rolls over Wisconsin and nobody will sleep on LSU. All those predictions will change fast.
