BAMA’s game with Texas will reveal a lot about this team.

You’re not gonna like my answer.

I think it’s not a matter of how good Georgia is. I think it’s simply a matter of Bama ain’t what they used to be.

Bama is entering “Old Man” era. Saban is still better than almost all other coaches.

But it’s damn hard for a 70 year old guy to maintain championship intensity.

It’s biology.

Where the programs are at right now? Yeah...y'all are about ten tiers above Auburn

And that's really all I care about.

So Bama goes undefeated in ‘20, wins the SEC in’21 while making the national championship game, and will be ranked #1 in ‘22 to start the season but aren’t what they used to be? Are you sure?

Mississippi State will be a better test for Bama this year. So will Ole Miss. LSU is about on par with Texas this year. Also, DKR ain't a scary place to play at all. I'll take Bama giving less than 21 all day long.

Bama has the two best players in college football. And were about 9 minutes away from repeating as national champs after having a historic draft class the year before.

They are going to rape and pillage the college football landscape this season and will easily win the national championship.

I’m not talking about winning the SEC. I’m talking about being the very best in the nation. I do NOT think that Saban is still the best coach in a country at the present time. Top five certainly.

But he just doesn’t have the same intensity he had 15 years ago. He delegates very well and has great coaches around him. So he makes his will known.

But just watch him on the sidelines. When he loses now he doesn’t get animated and passionate, it’s a resigned acceptance.

He doesn’t lose often so this is hard to see. But he isn’t the same as he was 10 years ago.

And yes, I think that means a coach like Georgia will have the advantage with all other things being equal.

I hope he does win it all this season. He deserves to go out win a championship. What I don’t want to see is a Bobby Bowden dwindling. He’s better than that.
