Tiger Stadium at night being special is a myth.

You do realize the vast majority of Ole Miss' wins in TS at night are from the distant past, right? Y'all have won in TS ONCE in the last 20 years. Your last win in TS at night was in 2001 and it didn't even matter because we still ended up winning the conference. Your historical statistics against us fricking suck so I'm not sure why you're trying to brag.

Hearing them talk now, you would think they have beaten LSU 75% of the while winning multiple national championships.

why would a bunch of games before these dudes were born matter in regards to us beating the piss out of y'all tomorrow?

Dang, Ole Miss has only beaten LSU 37% of the time? That is bad.

But what if I told you that LSU has only won 32% of their games against a different SEC opponent?

LSU had wins over Ole Miss vacated in 2012 and 2014

I am not seeing that tracked on the totals

Obviously, LSU is the more successful team. But, a series that is basically .600 (LSU) - .400 (Ole Miss) with over 100 games played is a pretty good rivalry indicator. No?

20 of those LSU wins came before Hitler invaded Poland.

And a ton of Ole Miss wins occurred before 1970. Which arbitrary yardstick do you want to use?

Yes and no.

I tend to learn on significance over the last 50 years. One, more of the people on this forum were either young or not born in 74 so it’s their experience.

Two, the forward pass being integrated into offenses really kind of got going around then.

Hmm, let’s compare to some others

Tennessee vs Alabama:
Tennessee win % = 40.5%

LSU vs Alabama:
LSU win % = 33.5%

Texas A&M vs Texas:
Texas A&M win % = 33.5%

Mississippi State vs Ole Miss:
Mississippi State win % = 42.4%

Ole Miss vs LSU
Ole Miss win % = 40.2%

In the series between the two? As in vacated wins over Ole Miss? The winsipedia page makes no mention of it

LSU vacated wins against Ole Miss in 2012 and 2014 (they vacated all wins from 2012-2015). Based on what the NCAA did to both teams, they effectively didn't play each other for like 4 years with both teams having to vacate wins. I don't think winsipedia removes vacated wins for anyone

The winsipedia page everyone gets their numbers from hasn’t taken them off

ETA winsipedia removes our vacated wins. Maybe chicken owns that site too

I’m sure Google could give you an answer faster than this board.

For me personally, I only care about what my team has done in my lifetime. Really, only care as long as I've been paying attention. But if you look at it just in my lifetime (I was born in 1985)

LSU vs.

Ole Miss 25-14
Alabama 15-24-1
Florida - 18-21
Auburn 19-15
State 33-6 (yikes)
Tennessee 8-6
Arkansas 21-11
Georgia 9-8
Kentucky 15-8
South Carolina 9-1-1 (yikes)
Texas A&M 15-9
Oklahoma 2-0
Texas 1-1
Missouri 2-1
Vandy 10-1 (yikes)

The vacated wins/forfeits etc are so stupid.
Especially with all the crap going on today.
They need to just restore all those games to who won on the field. Period.

Agreed. Except for when y’all cheated in the 70s. Those need to stay forfeited.
