If you end up with hardware anyway then that’s one thing, but I’m not really sure you can say UGA had a better season as we’re both in NY6 bowls. You had 1 less loss sure but you were in the weaker division. I guess you had a prettier loss to Bama?

It's important to win each game. The rest doesn't matter.

Well, same can be said for us being better than Florida, but their still ranked ahead of us. We are better and our losses are to way better teams, but they beat us head to head!

Can you really play the weaker division card this year?

I have no problem with LSU fans talking crap, as long as they don't have a problem with me giving it back. That said:

But one played for the SEC Championship and almost beat the team that trucked LSU. (Not to mention we actually scored on Alabama and beat Florida)

1 less loss in one more game and the records in head to head would say we were in the stronger division.

Actually it was a much, much, MUCH prettier loss to Alabama.

So which is it? Is Florida better than LSU, or can a team have a bad game and lose to an inferior team?

Y'all do the same thing though. "A 19 point win is domination but a 20 point win is a fluke."

Doesn't everybody do it? I mean Florida football players said they had the better team last year after our game.

My point is this. A team can have a bad game and lose to an inferior team. It happens. For me, it is the overall season a team has. Look at the big picture and it pretty much tells you who the stronger team is. (As a whole)

Show me a single UF poster who said we were still the better team last year.

But how can a 20 point loss be a fluke while a 19 point loss is domination?

Internet message boards are just cherry picking stats and talking points to talk shite, not have a legitimate discussion.

Everyone talks out of both sides of their mouth. The only stat that matters is the one that makes your team look better

I recall a time when Bama lost the iron bowl multiple times in a row and tried to pretend the current year didn't matter as much as winning years before.

Your players said it. They said it last year and they said it again this year after our game.

And we only dropped 4 spots because it's obvious we gave the game away more than Georgia won it. ANYONE who watched the game knows that schematically we did everything right (Gary alluded to it several times) and that Kirby got flat out embarrassed the first half (and one could argue the second half until the bottom gave out).

Better QB play, more depth on defense, we win the game pretty easily. We spotted them points and gave them short fields, don't win many games like that.

Since you asked, I looked

Well in 2012 it was definitely head to head, but this year it's final ranking and bowl game. These things change over time, you understand.

LSU fan here. It's more important to have a better season. Teams never stay the same from week to week. Sometimes you play better (or worse) than the previous week but you never stay the same. When the season's over you average out all of your performances and receive a final grade. Hope this answers the question.

You may remember last year, after Georgia’s 42-7 victory over Florida, many Gator fans and some players felt the better team did not win. A 35 point victory, yet Georgia was not the better team?

Did you even click on the link? It was either the first or second sentence in the article.
