Whether they paid or not Auburn had a great season. People are too quick to shoot down how they played. It isn't like their competion wasnt paying.

It's not just you.

I think the media gave off a sense that AU cheated to win, whether deserved or not.

That influenced perception of the win. Most in America just shrugged it off, hoping their concept of purity wins the day next season.

They are definitely among the most, if not the most, forgettable BCS Champions ever.

I think it is hilarious that people still throw out the "bought and paid for" lines at this point. We checked it out for 6 months prior, and have been under the most intense scrutiny of any SEC school in recent memory with the NCAA and every barney fife wannabe reporter checking under every damn rock they can, and still nothing saying we paid, or even offered to pay anyone anything. But people have passed their judgment and will not change what they "know" to be true. LOL - haters gonna hate

Yes, people all over the country are reminiscing over the unstoppable dynamo that was the 2007, Matt Flynn led, 12 and 2, LSU Tigers

Nobody really takes that championship seriously other than God and AU fans. The rest of us know it is a smelly, tainted mess.

The only real tainting that took place was that POS Arky game in the Sugar Bowl.

Dad always thought laughter was the best medicine, which I guess is why several of us died of tuberculosis.

fricking right...at Kentucky they still talk about how great that team was. I hear some of the folks up there say that they think Flynn was even better than Shane Boyd was in his prime, but I don't know if I would go that far.

I remember that one fateful day when Coach took me aside. I knew what was coming. "You don't have to tell me," I said. "I'm off the team, aren't I?" "Well," said Coach, "you never were really ON the team. You made that uniform you're wearing out of rags and towels, and your helmet is a toy space helmet. You show up at practice and then either steal the ball and make us chase you to get it back, or you try to tackle people at inappropriate times." It was all true what he was saying. And yet, I thought something is brewing inside the head of this Coach. He sees something in me, some kind of raw talent that he can mold. But that's when I felt the handcuffs go on

So you think this statement:

is an attack on AU. . .and you need to e-knight?

I thought I was attacking the media. . .but feel free to ascribe whatever meaning you wish to my post.

fricking idiot.

Where did all these shitty AU posters come from? Was there some Yard Sale at ITAT and Chicken grabbed the bargain box?

There is not a fanbase other than AU that collectively thinks they deserve any part of the NC. Even more impressive were the voters that refused to vote for Cam Newton's Heisman after he was clearly the best college(pro) athlete this year.

But do you think Cams gonna care when your national championship gets yanked and he's making millions? I dont think so. It also says something about the quality of your program if you have to pay top athletes to get them to go there.

That's what I was referring to. I had just clicked reply to yours because it was the last in the thread. Easy killa

You are a fricking moron

quote:

he received the sixth most first-place votes and the third highest percentage of first-place votes. Though 105 voters among the 886 who returned ballots chose not to list him among their three selections.

Also, I wouldn't worry about those 105 who didn't have him on the ballot considering Ingram had 200+ the year before who left him off. West coast writers are a bitch.
