If you can't beat'em, pay'em.
The guy is either head coaching college or DC in the NFL eventually. If A&M will pay him for three years too much money, why wouldn't he bolt for the cash?
There are just as good or better DC out there for 1/2 of the expected money on the table.
Using LSU as your coaching search is probably not the best idea - look at where we are today. Buyer beware.
