I don't hate any fan base. Both fan bases are extremely passionate about their schools as they should be. I have a mutual respect for Alabama and look forward to the game in January.

Message board posters, in general, are the crazed fanatics anyway. Couple that with the fact that most people are stupid and that means that most message board posters are stupid, crazed fanatics. That explains a lot of the "thinking" on this board.

I agree that both fan bases have taken it to a new level of craziness. Some of the stuff I read on here just makes me shake my head...
I do have to say that being on TD while listening to Finebaum absolutely drives my blood pressure up. Something about putting a voice to the crazy comments drives me over the edge.
Looking forward to the NCG. Both teams played their way in and are deserving of a shot.

I worked in Bama for better than 15 years.
Know alot of good folk over there.
Both gumps and barners are people too, except....
when it comes to religion, politics and football.
Over time I went from high respect to almost
shunning these people I had and I mean had
respect for. Grownups, I thought, would
just degrade into mounds of stinking bias,
prejudice and hate.
Since moving to a different career, I have very
limited contact with the old crew. I miss the
early years of those relationships, when I did
not "know" them so well. Being able to brag,
tease and trash talk without too much editing,
made our work fun. Then it got personal, we are
fans, not enemies. I know in those years, it was
the gumps and barners who fired the first shots
in making a fun spectator sport into something
I will NEVER share with them.
There is no quarter given to the state of Alabama.
I expect none to be given here. I rate my
feelings as a 10.

I don't think Bama is as bad as Arky. There are some arse hole fans on both teams. As far as the delusional part, I think we are all delusional because I we didn't absolutely love out team we wouldn't be here talking shite on a message board. I wouldn't have it any other way

LSU and Alabama have been 1 and 2 most of the year, and are playing in the NC. If this didn't happen, would it be so intense between the fan bases? Also, the Miles vs Saban crap, although it's lost some steam.
Also, IMO, Alabama-LSU will never be a true rivalry. Alabama hates Auburn and Tenn., and LSU, well, they lost their true rivalry when the rival's program went to pot.

They wear orange, and are not named Auburn or Florida.
