re: Do you know anybody who has an open marriage?
Posted by BruslyTiger on 5/14/26 at 5:50 am to UFFan
One of my oldest friends bragged about how he and his wife had an open marriage. I told him that was going to mean that she is getting some on the side and he is not. Divorced within 5 years and I think she left him for her side piece.

Ironically greens are in best shape I have seen them in like 10 years.
We played it yesterday and other than a few greens having some bad spot, they were mostly in good shape. I couldn't get a ball to stay on almost all of them but that is a different issue.
The most Travel Ball name I have seen

I was able to have these with my old boss. I would text him in the morning that I was taking a mental health day and he would reply back "enjoy the golf course".

The best move was when the bunny slammed on the brakes and split the pair. The dogs were utterly confused by that move.

I always thought being an adult and doing whatever I wanted would make me happy. Boy was I wrong!

We played both couses this past weekend and they were both in really good shape and condition. There were a number of fairways between the two that had some new turf/gound under repair. A few greens also had some repairs happening. Cousewise I would play again.
The natives that run the course are some of the most clueless and appathetic buch I have ever met. When asking for a "Closes to the hole" marker, they had no idea what I was asking for until I said the thing with the tape measure on it. And the woman at the snack shack between 9 and 10 could make change and was completely confussed by the computer.

I was told by someone that know Jim that his intention is to make it comparable to the U Club in quality and play.
I'll be curious as to what it will cost to play?

All bunkers have been lined with Better Billy Bunker and filled with Premier Play sand from Arkansas. The entire course will be sodded, and all the short grass areas, fairways and tees will feature Stadium Zoysia from Bladerunner Farms. Green surfaces will be TifEagle and rough will be TifTuf bermudagrass.

A little closer. So according to the crazy math, the ship can get there in a few weeks.

re: Webb park greens
Posted by BruslyTiger on 3/25/26 at 2:13 pm to LSUStjames
Played 9 last Thur evening and missed a lot of putts due them jumping off line.
It does help that I found 3 green with marks where someone smashed the putter into the turf. I did my best to repair thoses as well.

re: Did you or your kids have a huge growth spurt or was it more gradual?
Posted by BruslyTiger on 2/26/26 at 5:50 am to StringedInstruments
My son grew so fast that I had to buy him pants three times in his 8th grade year. He basically has stretch marks on his back because of how fast he grew in that year. He was 6 ft tall by the summer between 8th and 9th grade and finished off at about 61 and 1/2 to 6'2 by the end of 9th grade
