i have always actually liked lsu. if i had to choose someone other than bama to root for in the sec it would be lsu without a doubt.
i was a huge fan of shaq, chris jackson and stanley roberts during the day. man, that cj could shoot!

i dont think the SECr is really for the hardcore folks, at least not when its good. right now, semi-hardcore. hardcore is shaggybevo, or tidefans, or ITAT, or hogville, or volfans, or texags, or some site that is dedicated to one team only (like the tiger rant, where you probably came from) when the SECr is good, there is a diversity of opinion and a marketplace of ideas. but right now, we're in the middle of a flame war and there is no end in sight

I will also add, that even though I can't stand bama, I probably respect them more then any other team in the sec.

This is an LSU site. Even if the board is geared toward SEC teams. See any ads for Bama stuff here? BTW There are plenty on TR... Many that are also here.

To hate you have to care. I really don't care what some other fan base is doing. I assume that all fan bases have their idiots and that all fan bases are fans of their team.
I try to be as objective as I can, but I tend to look for things to cheer my team about. I certainly don't expect other fan bases to be purer than I am.

Absolutely at about an 11. Bama is arguably my most hated team in all of sports along with USC, the Cowgirls, and the Bankees. The sense of entitlement and pounding of the chest because they USED to dominate LSU and are a "traditional" program is just appalling. That's clear from ESPN's shameless campaign to get them in this game in the first place.
I don't think I personally know a single Bama fan who I can call a friend or that doesn't have these delusions of grandeur like most seem to.
