It was well known in TCU circles that Schloss cheated on his wife all the time. Not much can be kept secret in Fort Worth. I'm sure hearing her husband liked to bang coeds humiliated her and played a part in the wife drinking.

I don't know the particulars of the story but from what I gather the wife and kids didn't want to leave Fort Worth (one of the nicest cities in Texas or the country) for Collie Station. Seems odd, but whatever. I don't think any of them will have an issue with Austin...especially since his raise will allow them to live in one of the nicer burbs just outside the city.

I've known for years that Schloss was a sleaze. But, I work out of my firms Fort Worth office several.days a month. So, I hear all of the TCU/Fort Worth goings on. I have no idea how much A&M fans knew about his "extracurricular" activities while coaching at TCU.

Lol! You're either making that up or those people just aren't privy to details about his private life. It is possible to appear to be a "stand-up guy" and still be a serial cheater who has a taste for the young coeds.

The rumors at TCU are that he was swinging with his friends like Del Conte. He told his wife this was how it is going to be, and she divorced him.
