Have you made this same post recently? It makes no sense after losing our best WR, which is a big star out of alignment.

No, I don’t follow UGA super closely. Just LSU and Bama.

We'll see. Losing Pickens is definitely not a good sign
He was destined to be a superstar.
One of the best players on the field vs. LSU
And that’s saying a lot.
Hope he recovers and will be great in the NFL.

journeyman WR coach The guy has been an OC in college and the NFL the last ten years.
He has called plays 3 years of those 10(one 1 maybe 2 other years as a play calling OC in his career). Generally he is a passing game coordinator but not a QB coach. I did use a bit of hyperbole but not much. Generally he is a 3 years and done guy that’s really good working with WRs. But the way UGA took him you would think they actually hired a proven OC. His version of the “air raid” clashes pretty hard with what Kirby wants. Maybe it will work or like every other coaching gig he’s ever had he will be gone in 2 years and forgotten in 4. Not exactly the guy I would expect a team trying to get over the hump to bring in.
But they did get him cheap 1.1 million a year and he has fired up the dog fans.

I've been to Athens more than I cared to.
Trashy campus. Trashy coeds.
Classless fans in general.
Statue of the bulldawg is a laughingstock.
You can have it.

Describe to me in detail what Kirby wants.

Whoa now. The campus is only trashy after the tailgating. The fans are notorious for not caring on game day.
And the coeds? Sure they have many young ladies experimenting with their sexuality but their are a ton that are majoring in finding a husband that hide the hoe side pretty well in public.

I don't know enough about him to know if he's been calling the plays or not. I admit that he didn't call them with the Browns or the Bucs.

He's doing exactly what Kirby wants. He's stated he wants a more explosive O and that's what Monken has been doing.

We're all fans of our teams. I seem to remember UT fans trashing the Chaney hire in 2016 and then celebrating like hell when they hired the Great Chaney back from UGA. It's what every fan base does.

Are we really acting like this is big time money or something for an OC? I mean you guys were stoked over the shite stain that Chaney was and paid him 1.7 million

1/3 difference. And no, it’s not top money for a school looking to take the last step and end a 40 year drought. UGA wants to compete with LSU, Bama, Clemson but wants to do it on a budget. Just like the indoor facility, hiring Smart with zero head coaching experience. Smarts lack of experience has really hurt UGA and likely cost them a title. Dude needed a couple years at a G5 or non SEC P5 to learn his trade.

We will take it and we will continue to love it. Jealousy is a terrible thing Jimmy. We know what we have and others who have visited Athens and UGA do too. Athens has consistently been voted best college town in the nation and our campus is second to none. It’s gorgeous and our facilities are top notch. Even Tech fans have admitted as much. And that’s saying something since they live in our shadow 24/ 7 and are as envious as you

Sometimes you have decent arguments and sometimes it's borderline garbage. Only 3 schools pay their assistants more. How is that running on a budget? And how can you say he cost them the title. You can just as easily say he got them to the title. You have no idea if another coach could have done better. He's a great fit for UGA being a Ga boy. He's elevated the program from Richt's last ten years and there aren't many coaches out there who could have done better.

Thanks for the info UT fan. You must be a Faux news guy as your “facts” are shall we say, a little “off.”
FYI UGA has very deep pockets and is not reluctant to spend money. Far from it. You need to come down and take a look. New facilities everywhere - all world class. The building has been going on for years. The state and the athletic association have been busy. Many buildings totally funded by donors. UGA fans love Georgia and give money - lots of it . And the state takes pride in making the academic buildings second to none.
Coaches are well paid too. Just the other day Ga hired Will Muschamp as a part time advisor and he will reportedly be pulling down $300,000 to just hang out and give advice. Unlike your school we don’t fire our HCs every hour on the hour. We hire good people and keep them for years. They are family. Can’t get them to leave Athens once they are no longer coaching. Dooley, Goff, Donnan, and now Richt ( he just moved back) still call Athens home. It’s a very special place and I will be retiring there like many Dawg fans. Come down and take a look if you dare. Be sure to check out our new state of the art indoor facility you seem so interested in. It’s gonna blow your mind.

. Fields left because Kirby didn’t want an athletic dual threat QB playing for him. His eligibility didn’t happen until after he left and left knowing it was a distinct possibility he wouldn’t play.
He left knowing he would get approved, and that would have never happened in an earlier era of football. Very similar situation to SEC champion DJ Shockley.
