I already have. The CFP does not select teams with blowout losses.
If you want to go by that, then they also don't select teams with two losses that didn't even play for their conference championship.

Not unless they are blown out by VA.

Went back and read it and corrected my post.
That said, I understand how a fan wants to see their team make the playoffs. maybe Florida will in the future....but it is not going to happen this year,

If they are blown out I think they would certainly be left out. I think, at worst, the CFP will have the conversation if they lose close.

They just said that Florida has a better chance then Baylor. According to the fpi. On sportscenter. I don't see it.

Then the winner of Baylor/ Oklahoma gets in. There is almost no legit chance that Florida can get into it. Cause according to your scenario that would put LSU and Ohio St 1 and 2 which ever way they decide. The only way I can see them even considering Florida is if Clemson gets decimated by Virginia, Georgia gets blown out by LSU, Wisconsin gets blown out by Ohio State. Then I think that they would still put Clemson in and the winner of Oklahoma/ Baylor. I am not going to say it is completely impossible ,but some improbable and highly unlikely scenarios would have to play out.

They would occupy the #3 seed. I'm referring to the #4 seed.
Also Wisconsin would have 3 losses, Gators just need them to lose close to move ahead of them.

I'll say it. It's completely impossible.

quote:absolutely, but that conversation will acknowledge that outside of a close game to UNC early in the season, CU has dominated all of their opponents and, like it or not, they will get a Saban-esque credit for past performance to push them over the top.
the CFP will have the conversation if they lose close.
Without a head to head game to look and 2 common opponents who Clemson played better (one on the road), I think it will be seen as 1 loss is better than 2 and Clemson is in.
But. Who the hell knows what they will do?

They will never ever ever put Florida in the CFP over a team that kicked their arse because the other team lost in the conference championship
While I agree, Florida would have high quality loses and no home loses.

Didn't read anything, this cannot be a real question. If so OP has nothing to offer in conversation so either way pointless thread.

Florida has a precedent for making the championship after a crazy turn of events.

Florida is dead in the water

Doesn’t matter. UGA kicked Florida’s arse and had to play an extra game.
