All it takes is one. Like I said, it makes you feel better.

Everybody rotates DL, but keeps the same OL. I wonder why? This should be interesting.

So now we've gone from the DL works harder than the OL to the DL works harder on small occasions when the QB just happens to scramble. Nice.

What about when the OL have to block at the 2nd level.

Well for one DL is infinitely easier to rotate. It's much easier to build up depth.

On those rare plays when the QB does scramble all over (few times a game) the DL may get tired.

Why would you not rotate players if you can?

Thank you for proving my point.

I am amazed how everybody's offense is in better shape than the defense. Amazing. Didn't know it would be 100%.

Didn't read the whole thread but, I think faking injuries take away from the game.

My issue with HUNH is that a player can run off the field anywhere and be subbed out. So a receiver runs a deep route, doesn't get thrown to, and just runs straight to the sideline. Doesn't matter if it's to the player area of the sideline or not.

I loved the ol' universal "hit the turf" signal that was coming from the UGA sideline on that play too.

If you're hurt, get off the field. If not, don't be a pussy. Faking cramps or over-reacting "injuries" takes integrity out of the game. I get the strategy in it but I would be pissed if our players were doing it too.

Over reacting injuries isn't just a defensive thing. Watch the final drive of the SECCG, TK goes down and lays there holding his helmet with :30 seconds and no timeouts after getting popped by Moseley. As soon as the whistle blows , springs up and runs off of the field.

BTW .......if Bama is in the same position and lost because of time because someone didn't flop, I'd be pissed.

If it's legal, which it is, I don't have a problem with it. When they change the rule, then it will be penalized. Until then, it's a perfectly legal thing to do.

The defense should be allowed to sub, just like the offense is. If the defense isn't allowed to sub, then a player who wants to come out should just lay on the field until he is allowed to come out. It's a perfectly legal play. I don't see what the problem is.

As for people who say that playing defense isn't more tiring than playing offense, those people have never played football. I'm not sure that is the point of this debate, but defense at all levels is, in general, more taxing than playing offense. That's not true for every case at every position on every play, but, on the whole, it's absolutely true.

They were just making excuses. Everybody knows that the defense, which uses more players, gets tired at the end of the game, but offenses don't. I wonder why?

Florida and LSU defensive players kept dropping at Kyle Field like anvils in a Roadrunner cartoon.

I do admire how well they recovered after they sat out a play.

To the credit of the rest of the conference, no one else pulled that cheap move.

You mean thatlegal move. They went down, they sat out the required play, and they went back in. All on the up-and-up.

Its NOT LEGAL. I don't have a rule book but I feel certain if you asked a ref. is it ok if I pretend Im hurt when I am ok - he would say no.

The point is get off the field. In highschool I recall being hurt several times. Ive my wind was taken out you cant move - or a concusive type deal. But when you have a cramp for gods sake you hobbled off the field. Players hurt pretty bad would even get help hobbling to to sideline. Play went on.

Falling like that is soccer. Its 100% faking an injury and it does take away from the game. Its a soccer move. Actually worse - at least in soccer someones foot was near them.

Well, sometimes the players deserve booing, though boos are rare at Kyle Field. This is my favorite:

There's no rule in NCAA football. In the NFL they can fine or suspend.

Eta: And holy shite! I can't believe this thing is still going. Aggies throwing rustled jimmies all over this bitch.

If a player has an injury which stops the clock
1 his team is charged a TO
2 if they have no TO the player cannot return to field for 4 plays.
