Summy is a shathead. He's crapola. He'd lose a knife fight even if he had a gun. He never shoulda been hired. He was wrong from the start. He took over a team stocked with future NFL talent and lucked into a Heisman QB. Sherman's recruiting is responsible for Summys early success. Summy can't coach defense at all - he doesn't understand defensive football creates long term winners and he's destined to lose wherever he coaches because of it. Beyond that Summy is a lush and a wimp. He lets his players run over him and when they lose he throws them under the bus.

He has continued to recruit well. As far as the offensive problems go My guess is either people are putting all the offensive genius on his shoulders and just assuming anyone at oc could do it and thats not the case or maybe he and the oc are butting heads over their philosophy and it's creating what they produced. That's what led to Fulmer being fired
