Kiffin is not a great QB coach. He doesn't really coach up a QB to be the best QB. He's not going to develop a QB to be like Tom Brady or anything close to that.
If a QB is looking to develop for the NFL, Kiffin is NOT the coach you want.
Here is why people get confused about this:
He IS great at simplifying things and getting the most out of a QB with presnap reads and play calling. He's not coaching them up, he's dumbing the game down for them to be successful and that works pretty well at the college level.
Look at what he did with Blake Sims. Didn't turn the guy into an NFL QB or anything, but did a damn good job getting the most out of him. Likely way more than most coaches could have. Same for Coker and Hurts - who was a true freshman.
That's where and how he is really good with a QB. He gets the most out of what he has....so long as he picks the right QB.

I've been saying this. Look at Dillinghams track record, Jordan Travis, Bo Nix and Leavitt. He was at his ceiling already before he left to LSU, (also had a first round WR to throw the ball to 75% of the time) and the competition got tougher.
