wayyyyy too early to tell. but i can dig why you'd want to believe that.

i think he's too much of a leave it to beaver yankee "gee shucks" kinda guy to motivate guys to play hard for him.

but that's just me. i mean, you should have heard this hilarious outright dis he was given by a fan on the finebaum show. i would pay an entire FIVE DOLLAR bill to be able to quote him verbatim here.

Well, you want to talk about DAN MULLEN as a coach then you have to talk about his record from last year. I'm not going to wax poetic about the guy as a person because a) I don't know him and b) I don't give a flying frick.

Didnt the guy take a team who sucked under Croom and made their offense improve by leaps and bounds so much they led the SEC in rushing last year.

You Ole Miss guys are not showing Mullen any respect at all.

Dan Mullen's career record vs Ole Miss is 1-0 by the way since you want to talk about LAST YEAR.

Too early. However, he impresses me and I will not be surprised that he turns out to be a great HC.

MSU has every reason to be optimistic and proud of their HC right now.

He is 50 and I wouldnt quite call that young for a first year head coach. I do however think he will do really good at Louisville.

+ 1. Thought MSU gave Sherril a raw deal.

Fitzgerald seems like a good fit for Northwestern. He loves the institution and has them on the right track. Going to be interesting to see how they do without Kafka taking the snaps though.

HELL NO! A lot of State fans never liked the Croom hire from day one.

first off, OM fans respect Mullen's coaching ability. We dont think he's the second coming like yall do, and are astounded by how people view him when he went 5-7 last year. But youre asking a fan base to like a guy whose mission last year was to stir shite up with it's rival.

Bottom line is Mullen looks like he could be a good coach. He hasnt accomplished anything, but moral victories though. So to say he is a great coach or top 6 in the SEC is asinine. Its to early to tell, wait till he accomplishes something before getting on your knees

because he was known as a great recruiter at UF. He can get talent in to places that are easier to sell. No offense to MSU.

it wasnt the same admiration, but it was similar. After his first season, ESPN had croom as one of the top up and coming coaches, just like they have mullin now

After 2007 everyone thought Croom was a fantastic coach and MSU was a sleeper for the West in 2008.

This is somewhat irrellevant.

Saban was 7-6 in his first year at Bama. No one thinks he is not a GREAT HC.

I agree that it is too early to make a true judgement. But, it appears the he is very good. No one is scared of any other coach. But, one should not be against giving a coach his due.
