I don't think that's much of an outrageous statement. We're doing a complete 180 in terms of philosophy. Morris may very well end up being shite, but we won't know for sure until he gets a couple of full recruiting classes of his own guys in.

He needs time. I fully agree. 7-8 years as the Hogs coach sounds good to me

If Morris wants to stay there long he better rid himself of Chavis.....Chief has a way of getting HC's fired.

He should really get 12 years. He's been in high school all those years, so it's not fair to expect him to master the college game so quickly.
What are we if we don't give our employees the proper training?

To be fair, he departed that SMU team before the bowl game and Sonny Dykes was the official(?) coach for the Mustangs.
Oddly enough, Dykes is another college football coach that didn't play college football, but he did play baseball at Texas Tech. (There's another thread talking about how Morris didn't play college football.)

Better question is how is he killing BO in recruiting with a 2-9 record?

Looks bad now. There is a winning formula for the hogs with him though. Higher ranked recruiting classes and Texas pipelines should give us some boost.
Whether it works or how successful it is is yet to be determined.

What about Barry Odom? He did not have any head coaching experience at the college level and only 2 years at the high school level I think. That is crazy to start at one of the top conference! He is doing fine so far. Got to get the guy that have the it factor to be a head coach at the P5 conference.

I believe the answer is emphatically yes.
