Cam accomplished more in one year starting than Tebow did in 3 years of starting.

There are several players in the CF HOF based, essentially, on one season's spectacular performance.

Barry Sanders is one. Got some mop up carries as Thurman Thomas' backup, then EXPLODED his Junior year before turning pro.

Laugh off you wish. But it is a fact. Timmy won the Heisman and 1 NC in 3 years starting. Cam did both in 1 year while going undefeated (something Timmy never did.)

Unless you think losing in the SECCG and crying like a bitch is an accomplishment

Only thing you'll see if him in the HoF is him possibly rooting through the lost and found, or blatantly stealing a laptop from an employee.

The hardware doesn't lie. Cam wasn't even the most outstanding player in the title game. There is no reason to be upset.

Technical specs and HoF requirements aside, that's actually an interesting question just from the fans' points of view. Does one year at a major program, a national title, and the acknowledgement that he is one of the best QBs in SEC history make him HoF-worthy from your point of view? For that matter, what about Manziel, who never sniffed a title but definitely had a huge impact on CFB and played more than one season doing so?

It's a good question. I don't know the requirements but my immediate thought is that Cam Newton had one of the most dominant seasons in college football history. There's a good argument to be made that the Hall Of Fame should have a space for that sort of historical occurrence.

I tend to feel similarly about Manziel since he was easily one of the most electrifying players I've seen play college football.

He had a single season All-Time-Great

He has regressed in the NFL, but that's bc the Carolina coaches won't let him run
