He needs to go. Petrino has given Arkansas fans a false sense of entitlement and status. He isn't an SEC-caliber coach. He is a Big 12 style coach. He wouldn't know a defense or a running game if it bitchslapped him across the face. He seems like a total a-hole, too.
damn that is some stupid shite you just typed.

they are praying he's fired, more than any other fanbase

thanks for proving again who LSU's rival is. how many Petrino threads are you going to start today?

This is the same coach we just skulldragged to the point that he had to curse our coach from the opposite sideline and we're scared? Give me a break. Arkansas fans on this board are absurd.

The program is bigger than any one individual, and it will continue on and thrive in the future because it is being run the right way.
Is the football program not being run in the right way? I despise ppl that cheat on their wife / husband. But ppl that do don't typically lose their jobs over it. He's the head of the football program not the head of campus ministries. If UA gets in deep shite over all of this than yeah can his arse. But if everything quiets down and UA and the girl part ways, then I don't see a problem.

We kicked your arse with Nutt as did OM, so I can assure you that "can we beat LSU without Petrino", is not a question anywhere close to Jeff Long's radar. Don't give a shite about Rex "Crow Pie" Manning. Politely go Sandusky yourself.

<nevermind. Too soon.>
It was a decent joke, though.

Maybe it'll catch on and the rantards will get off our junk. Between you 'tards and the hillbillies north of us, we have our hands full as far as rivals are concerned.

Petrino is RAZORBACK football right now. We are in the top 5 preseason rankings for the first time in a long long time.
We have a 35 million dollar football facility due to Petrino, we have played with the best in college football due to Petrino. IMO he deserves al beit a huge disciplinary action, to be able to continue to coach the team he built his way.
I do believe coaches and agents are calling non stop during this to get their names into the hat for if or when he leaves or is dismissed. I think he built this and deserves a second chance but it is not like they are going to ask Hawgalude about the situation.

My fears? Just gonna put it right out there, but the last several years haven't given me any reason to fear facing Petrino anywhere.
Cyde, I was replying to the OP. LSU guy. We'll get your arse sooner or later too.

I guess I was stupid for thinking I could have an intelligent discussion about this situation without Arkansas fans turning this into a flame war. Carry on losers.

You are correct. You are a dumbshit.

it would be much easier for arkansas to just cut the ties and move on. if they choose to retain petrino, the admins & the board will have to do a hell of a lot of wheeling and dealing, possibly pay out some big bucks and do some major damage control...it would take a huge, smartly coordinated effort to keep him.

Well, it would help for you to respond to the poster you're addressing instead of the last post in the thread. Helps avoid confusion.
BONUS: I fixed your post for ya.

do not underestimate this. and the number is 300 million. the donations lined up because of him, and an entire new nine-figure complex is in the works due to his request and his success.
you don't let someone go and face uncertainty with such a big financial commitment over something like this.
