This board is a trip.

Before the season everyone was predicting a losing season and Chizik as a complete failure as a HC. Now we've exceeded expectations, the teams improved, and we'll win 7 to 8 games... all of a sudden we're stuck in mediocrity for the conceivable future.

I'll say this... I'm expecting this team to improve in 2010. We've have more depth on defense and we'll be improved in Malzahn's 2nd season as OC. 9 or 10 wins out of 13 is very acheivable, IMO.

7 win season right now with no depth on defense should have beaten UK and had a legit shot at UGA, with some luck that owuld have been 9 win season with the worst defense AU has fielded in 15 years, yes statistically this is the worst.

schedule tips more in our favor next year and we'll have more depth, we will be breaking in a new QB but with more experienced offensive linemen and much more talent and depth on defense I like our chances.

AUBURN 2010 SCHEDULE

Sept. 4 - Arkansas State W
Sept. 11 – at Mississippi State W
Sept. 18 – Clemson T
Sept. 25 – South Carolina T
Oct. 2 – Louisiana-Monroe W
Oct. 9 – at Kentucky T
Oct. 16 – Arkansas T
Oct. 23 – LSU L
Oct. 30 – at Ole Miss W
Nov. 6 – UT Chattanooga W
Nov. 13 – Georgia T
Nov. 26 – at Alabama L

Looking at the schedule for next season, I see 5 sure wins, 5 toss-up games, and 2 losses.

With the exception of the trip to Tuscaloosa, the road schedule sets up nicely next season -- Starkville, Lexington, and Oxford. Most of the tough games are at home -- LSU, Clemson, USC, Arky, UGA.

8-4 seems likely... with some improvement 9-3 isn't out of the question.

Did you make it past your first semester of English at community college? I don't think so....

Low I'm expecting a much better season next year, the question will be Caudle and Tyrik if either one of them step up next year. If they do with our newly added depth on defense I don't see a sure loss on the schedule.

I don't disagree with anything you said... I was trying to be as realistic as possible. I don't think we're going 12-0 next season, but I think we'll have a chance in every game.

BTW, the home schedule next year is dynamite... Clemson, USC, Georgia, LSU, Arkansas... should be some good times at JHS.

Screw that.........as an Auburn fan who has lived this series over the past 2 decades, I have no reason to believe that LSU is EVER a sure loss.

Yes, we have lost to them of late with shitty teams, but they prove week in and week out that their talent underachieves. Not trying to flame, but this is the same old story that we've all discussed over and over; I am not saying ANYTHING that a true LSU fan won't admit. None of the wins this year were pretty (except vs. Auburn of course). LSU still needs to get their shite together if they expect to get back in the driver's seat in the West.

In the meantime, I believe in our staff and clearly can see the makings of a successful team identity taking shape. 2010 should be fun.
