I know, I know. It's just one of those things I never, ever expected to see, and I'm going to enjoy every minute of it.

You're frickin' KY. STFU and get out of this thread. Nobody gives a aTm about your opinion and no one wants to see that blue vomit of an avatar.
If the seas parted and we thought, hmmm, lets get some advise on how to run our frickin' football program from a Kentucky fan, you would be the last fricker we'd ever ask.
You want to talk about relevant? Win a couple of fricking games this year before you try that line, bub.
You don't know that kid, where he's from, who is family is, or what was in his frickin' mind. God forbid he try to expalin himself on this sideline.
I hope to hell BMFP puts Wade in as soon as allowable by the conference just to piss off feminine tools such as yourself.
And for the record, Wade himself, althogh a freshman, has been returning kicks himself this year, so I doubt he's in favor of dirty plays as a general rule. He fricked up and mistimed the thing. Got flagged, ejected, and ejaculated on by limpy's such as yourself. Get a frickin' life and worry about your own pathetic team.
Oh and enjoy the post-season at home.

Not sure what you are looking at.
#1 from Arkansas and #24 from Alabama both put the PR's on the ground hard without the ball. Plenty of shoulders and helmets went into that each PR'r.
Whiplash on both.

Part of the reason I don't think he was trying to make a "dirty" play.
not my team...so I give no fricks.

He should be sent to play in the Big East to teach him humility

So the announcers saying he was jumping up and down hitting his chest was completely fabricated?
These would be the same announcers that routine talk out of their aTm hole, and Ware, just last week stated on a 4th and 8 play for Ole Miss, and I QUOTE:
"They need to get at least 4 yards here in order to make it manage-able"
Dave and Andre have a habit out of spewing bad info about the game and their observations before they even take the time to know of what they are talking about, in an effort to not have dead air on live TV.

The fair catch has nothing to do with the call. Heres the ruling for you:
DIRECTLY from the NCAA 2011-2012 rule book:
Defenseless Player: Contact to Head or Neck Area—ARTICLE 4
Approved Ruling 9-1-4
I. Receiver A83 has just leaped and received a forward pass. As A83 is
about to regain his balance, B45 launches and drives into A83 above the
shoulder area with his helmet or shoulder. RULING: Foul by B45 for
targeting and initiating contact with a defenseless opponent above the
shoulders. Ejection for a flagrant foul

Heres the ruling for you:
Good Lord, I'm not debating the rule.
That ref picture was directed at those that said the player wasn't trying to shade his eyes from the sun. That he was signaling a fair catch. The player and the ref were doing the same thing.
When people are pointing this out, they're trying to explain not solely for rule purposes, but to explain why Wade would continue to run full speed.
I thought I heard Curles rule it kick catch intereference though and not the contact to head/neck. I'll have to go back and look at the penalty called.
I think the bottom line is that just about everyone agrees it was dumb, that it was a penalty, and he should have been sure he had the ball.
If you get the timing wrong and go ahead and hit someone then you take the penalty and the heat. Fine.
My concern is that he's being singled out for scorn above and beyond what other players have done similarly. We're talking about a decent 17-18 year old kid that hasn't been a probelm or a thug on campus. It's not like he curbed stomped a former Marine outside a bar for goodness sake.
Since everyone is speculating with certainty to this kids motives, let me throw one out there. I kind of think, for whatever reason, he thought the returner caught it and just after the hit, the ball hit the ground, then the other guy picks it up and advanced it, thus (maybe) he's thinking he dislodged the thing and was pround of that. Is that not at all possible?
I don't know. None of us know what he was thinking. I do know that he has returned kicks many times this year and he hasn't been a gunner very long (he's a freshman receiver). Being on the other side of that play on a regular basis, I don't believe he would cheap shot an opponent on purpose the way it's being made out. Why on earth would you do that on purpose when other teams could turn around and do it to you? Does that make sense?
In regards to the sideline, anyone accused of something dirty or something that would hurt and penalize your team would want to explain themselves in a passionate manner, especially with the adrenaline flowing.
I do know there are a lot of hollier than thou's on here that love to point the finger, but minimize their own teams issues with these types of things that have occurred in the past. That, to many, is hypocritical, and hypocrisy will always be pointed out when it occurs.
If we're gonna eject kids for hitting punt returners before they catch the ball, lets do one thing. Lets enforce it uniformly.
Finally, I want to thank all of you for your righteous outrage on the multiple neck turning facemasks Vandy used to down our players in the first half (only one of which that were flagged). Could someone direct me to the 20 page thread on that? Or maybe the ones on the Helmet hits to Wilson's ribs, long after the ball left his hands? Or maybe the one where the Ole Miss player speared Dennis Johnson twice?
No, for many of you this is just a chance to flame Arky or use it for whatever fricked up personal grudge you have. You pull assumptions out of your arse, based on a dumb penalty, two dumb announcers, and a kid trying to tell his side of the story on the sideline while the coach knows he needs to get him the hell out of that mess asap. Some of you remind me of the lynch mobs of the past that would string a man up on the flimsiest of evidence, without having all the facts. Best be careful, because all of our teams are human, capbable of making mistakes, and one day it may be one of your kids that the world wants to crucify without KNOWING all the facts.
I leave you with the words of Vandy's Coach Franklin who said he in no way thought it was a dirty play by Arkansas and that it was one of those things that happen when you play full speed.
See, it's one thing to watch that clip in slow motion, over and over, with time to think. It's another to be a gunner running at the punt returner at full 4.2 speed, 4 yards to go, expecting him to catch the ball, not seeing his arms wave, and brace for impact too early. If he gets it wrong, throw the flag, penalize the team, and move on. But don't try to flail the kid with a rusty knife just because it gives you a chance to flame on.

Let me guess, the other 6 are hog fans defending this players actions and his behavior afterwards on the sidelines?
Typical.
