Offense overrated. Defense overrate. Schedule is shite. Doesn't matter. Undefeated #1 until someone changes that.
LSU is next. Patience my feline friend.

Can't argue with that.

This was kind of gay though.

I'm sure this will get bumped when Auburn doesn't score in the iron bowl.

Yes, the odds of that happening are high, especially with a solid field goal kicker.

I've never understood these type of threads. It sets up opposing fans for a no win situation. If your team is successful, then it is because the D was over-rated. If your team is not successful, then it means either A) you were wrong in your assertions about them being over-rated, or B) your team isn't as good as you thought since they got housed by an over-rated D.

Didn't au only score 7 in the 2nd half against fau? Just sayin'...when a team gets up by 2 or 3 scores (as Bama did with a&m) they do things a little differently from that point on. Plus they don't play with the intensity they did to get that lead. Bama was up at one point 35-14 in the 3rd qtr. I can see how the defense would soften up a little after that.

LSU's offense played really well against Bama last year. And scored 17 points. Going to take a good bit more than that most likely. What's your prediction on this game? Could be one of the higher scoring Alabama - LSU game in quite some time I think.

Bama by 10. Close game until the 4th and your defense makes the stops that lsu's young def can't. BUT if Mett gets all JLee it could get ugly quick. It's ironic that we have been wanting a high powered offense for 4 years and we finally get one and our defense is a shell of it's usual self.

I thought you weren't talking to me. Bama didn't have to worry about Mett running last year and couldn't get to him. That was with a patch work oline. Throughout Saban's tenure , Bama's def has never been predicated on pressure.

Really hate it for you guys.

Seriously though, I think the combo of Cameron and Chavis will have LSU in sync with great offense and great defense most years. Just glad the defense isn't up to par this year.

Bama doesn't have to worry about Mett running, though. The defense can pin the ears back and go after him. Let Hill get a lane on a draw or something, he won't beat Bama alone. Mosley/A'Shawn get good interior pressure, I expect CJ to blitz a good bit. If Bama gets out to a nice lead early then it's over, Hill won't make up the difference alone and, while the WRs will get theirs, Bama will be able to focus solely on rushing Mettenberger.

Lsu will be the most balanced offense bama will play during the regular season. Lsu will have a 1000 yard rusher, 3000 yard passer( maybe) and two 1000 yard receiver. Hill leads the sec in tds and leads the NCAA in yards between the tackles and OBJr is number 2 in all of cfb in total yards/game. While A&M has a lethal combo of Evans and JM , their isn't much elite talent after that. Lsu has 3 rbs in the top 15 in tds ,2 wr in the top 4 in tds , yards and rec and 3 wr in the top 25 in tds. ( RANKINGS ARE IN THE SEC).

I cant disagree. I think any logical Bama fan will tell ytou that the LSU offense will pose a threat with the weapons but the X factor will continue to be Mettenberger. Ole Miss was able to throw him off his game and the offense sputtered and Hill was mostly contained and that was with a depleted Ole Miss defense. Maybe it was the road atmosphere or maybe LSU overlooked Ole Miss to a degree and felt that could roll their helmets on the field to win. Maybe Mett got his MoJo back last week vs a cupcake. LSU will win or lose on the arm and decision making of Mettenberger.

What was the Ole Miss blueprint or was it more of Mettenberger imploding all on his own?

I would be worried if I was bama that Duke beat tech.

We played Tech in our first game. That really doesn't mean much now, how they're doing, except for formulas for SOS. That said; beating LSU, Auburn, and an SEC East champ will still propel us above the over undefeated teams.

A&M scored at will. Except for 1 pick the other was a receiver who ran a goal line plus route rather than a fade or that was 6.

Second game of the season, and we were still building that secondary. It's a different creature now.

How do y'all know your secondary is a lot better. What passing threat has bama faced since A&M? I'm not saying bama hasn't gotten better in the secondary, just that it's somewhat unknown.

I remember hearing they said no SEC team had ever had 3 consecutive seasons of leading the league in total defense ever up till now.

Alabama is currently leading the league in total defense for 6th year in a row.
