No one is as dominant as the US dynasty. 237 years strong.

Give them 3 more years. As long as Saban is there they will be good. All together over the course of college football I would say Bama has the best program of all time. Im not saying best record, Im just saying best program.

Alabama is in a dynasty but it is not as dominant as the Us, Nebraska, or Florida states

I agree on Miami and Nebraska being more dominant than Bama at this point, but how is Florida State's run so much more dominant? They won 2 NC's in that span while feasting on a weak conference schedule and often times losing the big games they played, pretty much all they had to do to get their top 5 AP finish evry year was split with UF-Miami.

By the way, kudos to you for being one of the only posters in this thread that knows when to correctly use the words "dominate" and "dominant"

You can't back into a national title. You can back into a national title game...but when you win it, there's no legitimate hating at that point.

This is the most dominant 4 year period by one team in my lifetime. Whether it meets the definition of "dynasty" is just semantics. As I said pages back, I don't consider any run in major college sports to be a dynasty except the John Wooden/UCLA dynasty. That was an extended period when only one team won the title. At no time during our wonderful run has anyone legitimately thought "Alabama is the only team with a chance to win this" (other than the weeks leading up to this last BCS game, when everyone outside South Bend knew what was about to happen.)

When you have a dynasty, you RULE the sport. In the middle of UCLA's run, it was virtually unthinkable that any other team would win it all. No college football team can say that.
