If Texas was to somehow lose a game and then UA beat UF in the SEC CG, couldn't UA and UF just switch places in the BCS poll and end up playing again in the NCG? Just wondering what you guys think or know

Possible probably. But teams like TCU and Boise would succeed from the Union (cry)

I don't think two teams from the same conference are allowed to play each other in a bowl.

I don't think there's anyway they would allow that.

Nah, it would take a complete crumbling of the BCS (TCU, Boise, Cincinatti, Texas, losing the rest of their games) and Alabama - Florida maybe taking it into OT.

And even then, probably not.

would take all the other teams in contention dropping a game probably... voters would be really reluctant to have a rematch when the game was just played

A few weeks ago I thought this would never happen, but while I still don't think its very likely, there is a chance of it. Texas would obviously have to lose, and I think Cinncinati would have to go down as well (which I think they will tonight or against Pitt). If those two things happened (and lets be real, Texas isn't losing to the cupcakes they have left) then an Alabama/Florida rematch would be a very real possibility because it would be a one-loss SEC team who only lost to the other one against an unbeaten TCU or Boise. I think the one-loss team would finish ahead of Boise, but I think TCU would get a lot of attention and consideration for the national title game.

The NC game is officially to be played between whoever is ranked numbers 1 & 2 at the end of the season with no mention of conference in its bid rules.

TCU, Boise, and Cincy are so far behind them in the poll I don't think they could jump UF. So, who would they leave out of the NCG if this did occur? I would love to see the powers that be at the BCS implode if this situation comes about

Boise St has no business in the national championship game. If they're even considered if Texas were to lose a game I'll throw up.

I'm definitely hoping for a Texas loss and UA to beat UF in the SECCG. I really hope this happens

You're definitely in the minority here.

I hope not win or lose, not fair to the winner of the SECCG have to play again. What if they lose in the NC game, a third game?

I'm sure I am but I love controversy with the BCS. Plus, it would be cool to not only see an SEC team win the NC but have a situation where the SEC wins it either way

I'm shocked that you don't want to secede from the SEC!

What about all those people screaming for Michigan Ohio State in 2006?

why would they want to see two teams playing for SECCG and then BCS?? its not possible for an example: LSU Vs FL...they didnt want LSU and FL to have a rematch in the SECCG...so they picked Alabama. get it now?

1. The idea of two teams from the same conference playing in the NC is just stupid.

2. I don't think the voters would let it happen and they have 2/3 of the say.
