Nick Saban has a losing record against Auburn - ENOUGH SAID. Auburn is Saban's daddy, and post Bear, Auburn is Alabama's Daddy.

One win in the past 7 years does not change the powers in the state.

You trying to convince us? Or you?

Time will tell exactly how much things have changed. And i personally believe that NO one would want to be in Auburn's shoes. But I love your zeal. Auburn needs guys like you right now more than anyone. A person that believes when there's no reason to ;)

Until Saban got here, I was one of those guys too. It's THE only way to fly when things suck complete arse.

PS. I'm NOT being a smartass. I say what I mean.

Nick Saban has never lost to Auburn outside of Auburn.

Why yes... yes it does. Especially when that one win is a 36-0 demolition and every single top recruit in the state has Alabama at the top of their list. Things are back to normal.

If the coach at Louisiana Monroe can beat Saban's midget arse, I think Chizik has a chance against him

It'll be interesting to see. ULM seemed to havem more fight than the recent Iowa State teams.

I promise you two things
1. As far as UT goes.. they will not get a player in the state of Alabama that UA offers. I promise you that.
2. As far as Auburn goes.. The natural advantage was in Auburn's favor to start.. a lot of the top kids are from Auburn's area of the state and grew up favoring the tigers, but my promise is this Nick Saban is way ahead of Auburn right now for 2010 in the state of Alabama. Can Auburn catch up maybe? can they get 3 of the top 10 in state this year? very possible. But right now Alabama has gotten off to a great start and has some great connections for the top kids in state.

as a side note, Auburn has hired some really good recruiters, but they have yet to show they work well together. They were able to pull in some nice players towards the end using connections from previous jobs as well as guys who were talented, but were not being pushed by top schools. And then Benton fell in their lap, however they do not even have geographic areas yet and have shown no signs of being able to recruit a kid for two years in an organized and effective manner.
That is what Saban has shown and that is an outstanding way to lock down our state. Its all about relationships. also the fact that Alabama is about to start getting more guys in the NFL is going to help us as well.

I'm speaking in the past. the present is a given with our head coach. we can be in on any recruit in the nation as long as we have Saban

No it wasn't. Tim Simon wasn't even close to being a top 10 player. The top 10 player Ole Miss got was D.T. Shackleford, who had originally committed to Tennessee and swapped to Ole Miss late in the process.

I am not sure which services rankings you are using, but according to the BOL top 40 final rankings Tim Simon was #10, and shackleford was #15.
