Naw. Bests are meant to be bested.

I’ll just drop these here for comparison:
2025 IU
2019 LSU
And nobody thinks that Bama team that beat everyone’s scrubs is the best ever.
LSU went 5-5 against everyone's scrubs.

I guess I missed this memo before we made it over to the SEC , how the hell are you trying to cling on to 2020 covid as a best team ever.
The entire year was mass havoc , most teams barely played, there will never be a more asterisk of a year ever .
This is a wild take to me

It’s because bama fans are stupid, and you can’t fix stupid.

Burrow was the GOAT on the GOATT no question

There's a lot of people who say the 2020 Alabama team is the best of all time. It's not just fans. Try to keep up.

It's still 1995 Nebraska.

2019 LSU wasn't even the highest rated team in advanced metrics for 2019.
There are 2 sides of the ball, your defense was not elite.

While both are notable quarterbacks, Joe Burrow's 2019 Heisman season stats far surpass Fernando Mendoza's 2025 season, with Burrow throwing for significantly more yards (5,671 vs. 2,980) and touchdowns (60 vs. 33), though Mendoza's efficiency was high, he faced weaker defenses compared to Burrow's elite competition, making Burrow's season statistically dominant and against top-ranked teams.
Joe Burrow (2019 Heisman Season):
Passing Yards: 5,671
Touchdowns: 60
Interceptions: 6
Completion %: 76.3%
Passer Rating: 202.0
Opponent Strength: Played against multiple top-10 defenses, including knocking off #2 Alabama in the National Championship.
Fernando Mendoza (2025 Season):
Passing Yards: 2,980
Touchdowns: 33
Interceptions: 6
Completion %: 71.5%
Passer Rating: 153.9
Opponent Strength: Many touchdowns came against weaker defenses; struggled more against top-ranked opponents like Ohio State and Oregon.

Y’all are so insecure. LSU fans are the biggest bitches in college football.
Very interesting. Gumps have been desperately trying to convince us that 2020 wasn’t a joke of a season because they can’t stand that LSU 2019 was and is the best team ever. Never change.

No that was LdU fans trying to belittle Alabama, knowing if they had repeated the next year the season suddenly would have mattered. Face it Indiana has just as good of an offense and a far better defense and is also much better coached than LdU. It’s not even close.
ETA. They are probably better in special teams as well.

They're a great team, but not a greatest of all time team, and that is ok. Nowhere near 2001 Miami, 1995 Nebraska or 2019 LSU type teams.
2019 LSU is npt in the same league as 2001 Miami, or 1995 Nebraska.
2019 LSU is not in the same league as this Indiana team.

Okay.
If you had any kind of intelligence, you would at least wait until the actually won a nattie.

By the end of the year, 2019 LSU was pantsing teams on offense and the defense was suffocating.
It would be a good game but LSU comes out on top.

All these trolls trying to delegitimize the 2019 LSU team just shows you that the 2019 LSU team is the standard for the top teams to be compared to. It’s not a slight at all. The 30 threads about it tonight just shows that team will be the team that all are measured against.
Carry on
Carry on

So your intelligence says that if Miami pulls off the unthinkable and beats Indiana that means they are a better team with two losses to mediocre ACC teams? Just watch the execution it tells you everything you need to see. Indiana does everything , not just well but to perfection. Offense, defense and special teams.

Nah, let 'em have whatever they earn. Makes zero difference in a rational person's life.
