In their final 2 games:

2019 LSU: 1,350 yards for and 716 yards allowed. Vs 2 and 4 seed

2025 IU: 679 yards for and 720 yards allowed. Vs 5 and 10 seed

1,350 offensive yards in a 4 team CFP…. Verse 679.

You don't have to, everyone already knows.

Besides, you couldn't hold it in and told on yourself on the first page by bringing it up.

A season is more than 2 games.

How can one definitively determine which team is the greatest since none can play each other on the field? There’s no concrete way to prove they’re the greatest—only speculation and opinion.

Nebraska 1995 still the best I've ever seen. Totally dominant in every game.

Indiana is really good, one of the better teams I've seen, maybe the best coached team of all time.

That doesn’t matter. Do I believe that LSU could beat Indiana, yes I do. That being said, that’s just the fan in me coming out. It can’t be 100% proven because they will never play each other.

You can't do it that way, you are correct.

You have to look at how the team performed against the competition it faced as well as the quality of the schedule. AKA at least 4 teams ranked highly.

And then it really comes down to margin of victory. Because that is the stat which is going to show how well you dominated that competition.

The entire season counts, not just a few games. You need to dominate from day 1.

So:

Must go undefeated.

Must play at least 4 teams in the top10, (end of season rankings, not over-rated game time rankings).

And then margin of victory and how much you dominated teams over the entire season.

In 1995, Nebraska did all that, the closest anyone came to them was 14 points, and they beat undefeated Florida 62-24 in the championship game. They dominated from day 1(won the NC in 94 as well, only losing the first game of that season).

Meanwhile, 2019 LSU beat teams by 3, 5 and 7(finished 25th in one ranking, UR in another). Because their defense was not elite.

In 2020, Alabama was making a good run, but came up short because of Kyle Pitts and Florida clowning the defense and Alabama only won by 6. Also didn't really have that big 62-24 finish Nebraska had.

And this year, Indiana had multiple close games. Just lacked the domination.

And yet 38-3 isn’t nearly as satisfying as 44-16 am I correct?
I mean your greatest post was the Clemson beat down montage you posted after 44-16

Didn't dominate them.

1995 Nebraska dominated 4 top 10 teams.
