if they had lost 6 series out of their final 7? Let's just say this is a hypothetical situation because there's no way things like this happen.

Apparently winning 2 sec tournament games outweighs losing 6 of the last 7 series.

I can see that team being IN... but hosting is embarrassing.

If all but one of those series were against super regional teams and never getting swept. Add a series win against a team seeded higher than them on the road, a beating their closest team in terms of seeding 3 outta 4 times. Then yeah, I could see it.

No. Nor would I let any team get a top 8 seed that lost a series to a team that got swept by Missouri and only managed to score 7 runs or less in that entire series.

So you're saying yes... based on where the other teams ended up in the post season?

Well i guess lucky for both teams... you're not someone that makes those decisions.

But I'm sure it was viewed as that same team swept the team that swept your team.

Yes. If everyone you lost a series to is in the top 8 and you still have a winning record to show for it otherwise, then you can't penalize them for their schedule.

The other factor too of course was having significant head to head advantage (3-1) over the team you're competing with for the last spot.

That would mean all baseball coaches became douche bags and would randomly throw bats at opposing players.

LoL SEC fans are really something. Sure they lost most of their games but they play in the SEC so they deserve it anyway.

I don’t think any team with trashy arse AstroTurf should host a regional

Unfortunately, it will take a player getting hurt before turf is banned. I mean.... how expensive is it to maintain DIRT in your infield?
