Not to rub it in, btw, but there's an outside chance that had Mett not been busy celebrating, he would have been in a better position to recover the fumble. Just an outside chance, so don't let that haunt your dreams.

You people seriously act like you wouldn't do the same thing, and would be 100% prepared for such a random unfortunate scenario.

Monday-morning quarterback is the name of the game when it comes to being a college football fan. Of course all of us wouldn't have celebrated

I said "outside chance" and so forth. I wasn't taking a stance on whether he should have done it.

that play should really only haunt your dreams had it occurred much later in the game, say the fourth quarter.
Remember, Bama gave the ball right back to you shortly after that fumble. So, it was effectively just a field position change of about 50 yards.

i fell to my knees in my living room and screamed like a girl
then on the aborted snap i just yelled 'what the frick?' rather loudly and joined in on the melee on the scoreboard.

How did the LSU boards take it? I haven't looked at them since last week.

I would love for some UT fans to compare "Rocky Stop" with that fumble.

That was the one that got me. The JC fumble was just a superb play by the Bama D.
