It would be a cash positive for the schools that break off as they create the most value. Imagine the value on the open market of UK and KU basketball in the same light that Alabama and Notre Dame football dominate TV revenues.

The bigger issue is governmental blowback

a) Tax free exemption for big time college sports
b) monopoly issues with the federal government
