In the opinion of non-bammers & non-barners (Spencer Regions)

What do you guys think happened here?
I mean...here are Spencer's quotes after committing to Saban:
"I am going to Alabama," Region told Scout.com before the announcement. "My family knew that's where I wanted to go. They thought it was a good idea. Coach (Nick) Saban said to commit if I wanted to. Coach Saban was really excited. He said he has big plans for me."
"This is a dream come true," he told Scout.com before the announcement. "Ever since I was little I have always wanted to run out of the tunnel at Bryant Denny."
Now...why would a kid who says that not commit to Bama at a point when they are on top of the college football world?
What could possible have happened in those few hours that not only changed his mind about his Bama commitment, but convinced him to sign with their sworn enemies?
It just doesn't make any sense to me, and I'd like some fans with no 'dog in this hunt' to opine.
If any barners respond in this thread, you have the ghey.

I don't think anything shady went down, I'm just angry at how the kid handled it. The kid obviously has no integrity.

According to his quotes, seems like he really liked Bama, but liked AU's coaching staff more. Didnt he say, " they love me, I love them" about AU?
"I felt like I was taken for granted even by the coaching staff at Alabama. That's just not where I need to be. I'm not about to go into that kind of program.
Region said Alabama wouldn't allow him to visit other schools if he committed. Auburn didn't care.
"Auburn said it's fine. They want me to go to other places," he said. "They encouraged me to go to other places. They said they know if I know I want to come to Auburn, it won't matter where I visit. We are family at Auburn," he said. "I'm real close to the coaching staff and I just feel at home there. I've always felt comfortable with all of the coaches at Auburn. I feel like I can go to them with any problem I have. That's a big thing.

Crimson Tide is nickname. Elephant is mascot.
Tiger, eagle, and plainsman are all mascots.
See how easy that is?

The gist I get is this: It's okay for any player to de-commit from a school and go to Alabama, but not okay for any player to de-commit from Alabama and choose another school.
Am I missing something?
Am I missing something?

“I had planned to come here today to announce my commitment to Alabama. I spoke to Auburn on my way over here and felt more wanted by them.”

I think he was so excited to know that he will be able to get the hell out of Cullman, Al that he just started naming places.

No. That's not the gist. Since you're just back from scholars bowl or whatever I'll fill you in. Mr. Region committed to Alabama on Tuesday, he called Saban last night and told him that the commitment was still firm. Region gets to Cullman High School, talks to the media who are there, and tells them that Alabama is where he is going to school and that it was his dream to go there, etc. There is an Alabama banner behind him, there are nothing but Alabama fans in the crowd. People who cover Auburn recruiting aren't even there. He picks up the Alabama hat, puts it on his head, throws it off, and then picks up the Auburn hat. He then goes on and bashes Alabama when, just minutes before, he praised them.
I have no problem with a player de-committing from Alabama and committing someplace else. It's part of the recruiting process. What I, and most Bama fans on here, are pissed about is HOW he de-committed. He should have called off his press conference, called Saban, and then scheduled another one to commit to Auburn.

That quote leads me to believe that he may change this committment" multiple times. If he was swayed by a last minute phone call, this kids going to be in awe of the stuff that happens on official visits.
